Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Rivian’s first EV police cruiser is here: Meet the patrol-ready R1S

View attachment 5581

Looks like those pictures were taken in the front parking lot of Rivian's big R&D facility in Palo Alto meaning this isn't just some random city ordering a Rivian for police duty, this is likely a working proof of concept. Big picture here is they'll likely use this to develop some kind of formal police/fleet package down the road.

I would never promote or support violence, but before we get too smug we should remember that all of the founders of this country were criminals, from the participants in the Boston tea party, to the victims of the Boston massacre, to Paul revere, to George Washington to every supporter and soldier that fought for this country to become a country.

Yeah but you don’t destroy someone’s business because you don’t see eye to eye with them. That would be like Mike Johnson calling on the republicans to go and riot at Subaru Dealer And HQ. It’s not right and should be stopped. And she should be removed from the House of reps for calling on this to happen.

Let's not get into a back-and-forth about accusations/threats/comments made by either side of the aisle, as this will lead to nothing constructive.

Nor does it have anything to do with Scout trucks
Well it somewhat does if we’re gonna be using Super chargers lol. So it does raise concern to us especially if this continues which hopefully it ends.

I don't condone what these clowns are doing. But, domestic terrorism seems a bit of a stretch.
Domestic Terrorism

“Domestic” - existing or occurring inside a particular country; not foreign or international

“Terrorism” - the use of violence or threats of violence to achieve political, social, or ideological goals

It’s exactly what they are doing so yes it’s the correct way to handle. Also end of discussion as on what Jamie has ordered.

My iX has that and I like it.
And then it won’t get clogged with mud and dirt. And it lowers the chances of mud and grime scraping the glass as the wiper moves since it will be getting sprayed off. And it can’t be much to do since it’s just a bit extra rubber hose, no custom enclosure or plastic cap. Just a couple holes on the wiper with a hose that plugs in.

If it’s in the trail sights. It will be protected and will be close enough and angled to push off the dirt.

What also like about them is that the rubber blade is replaceable instead of replacing the whole thing which is such a waste.
