From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.
Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.
How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Good news everyone, there are equations!
Somehow a lot of us grew up with siblings in a family car that only had two doors, and it worked just fine. People would cry child-abuse now if you tried the same thing, especially if you grew up in a Beetle with no AC in Miami. I'm not bitter, really. The back of my legs have healed up nicely from the perforated vinyl burns... We even spent quality family time pushing some of those vehicles to the gas station, side of the road, or wherever.
To answer your question, pet mode will run until the battery hits 20%. So that could literally be days if the car has a full charge. I have never activated it with the battery low but I would hope that the car would send an alert to the owner's phone to let them know that the AC was shut off due to low range.

Parents had a beetle that I barely remember I was so young but we survived. My sister now has a convertible beetle (antique) and the size just makes me wonder how parents/families filled them the way the did
We had two Chevrolet Chevettes. Ten of us and all our laundry in two of these driving from the ranch into town via the freeway was quite a site.

Another possible MR2 sighting? If Toyota doesn't screw this up like everything else they've screwed up in recent years, I'd have one next to the Scout in the garage.

One of the few cars if it had a targa top would tempt my husband to trade in the Supra.
That kinda just looks like a GR86 with some wide body stuff and a wing. Hmmm
Those are two of the only cars I've missed after getting rid of them, my '91 MR2 and my '13 FR-S. If they mix the two together with a bit more power AND a manual transmission, I'm not sure I'd have the willpower to resist.
For my husband it was his early 90s del Sol and he never bought an MR2. Something like that he would be at the dealership.
