Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
You know what pisses me off more than 2 stupid little clean air and EV tax credit, a government shut down brought to you by ol’ chucky.
I’ll avoid politics but as I recall you are still in HS so guessing you don’t pay your healthcare. Imagine if your parents, and therefore you didn’t have health coverage. I digress

I have a pharma rep friends who drives all over LA. She loved that program. The only thing she didn’t like was the two stickers that had to go on the front bumper.
IMO the stickers aren't that bad. Here's a random pic of our car (grey one) with the stickers and another one on the left with stickers in the same location. You also have to put 2 stickers on the rear corners of the car as well. Sad to think they'll be useless after today but we'll be keeping them on as a silent protest.

This crap pisses me off. Didn’t cost much of anything. Just total spite and short sightedness
It cost them NOTHING! Drivers have to apply for the sticker and pay a $22 fee which covers the sticker itself and admin costs. It's absolutely spite, a lack of respect of states rights, and is killing a wildly successful program with over half a million active participants as of right now.

I don’t expect any launch vehicle to be remotely close to base price
Now J, we are still having confidence in Scout to have a model at launch that is close to the starting price they have stated. I’m just continuing with faith and patience.

I should specify. Launch edition yes more expensive. Trims available at launch have a trim that starts at the starting price.

I suspect we'll have to prepare ourselves for a wait, however short, for a launch edition to gather a pile of orders before they release the other trims.

And that is where you would be highly mistaken. My brotha!

In my family everyone has bills to pay. Ain't no hand outs here. Its a tradition thats been going on for generations.

That’s a great video. Straight from the fire department, no hype or drama, some interesting info. Realistic indication of what’s involved dealing with a battery fire. They may not happen often, but they’re not trivial.
Now imagine in China where they will soon be able to launch sections of the battery packs put like missiles. The amount of fun I would have with that on the road.
