Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Another article about Scouts direct to consumer journey.

"Scout has been fighting feverishly to get current pro-franchise laws scrapped since last year. The company’s vice president for government and regulatory affairs, Blair Anderson, recently sent an 11-page letter to the Department of Justice’s Anticompetitive Regulations Task Force, describing current laws as “burdensome restrictions on competition.” He added that no other sector of the US economy has more anti-competitive laws than the auto industry."

“We urge the Department of Justice and this Administration to probe these protectionist, anticompetitive schemes and to open the automotive industry to fair competition and innovation,” he wrote. “These schemes are in direct conflict with the possibility of free and open markets where all can compete.”

According to Anderson, it makes no sense to force new car manufacturers to adopt the dealer franchise model, “especially when the new manufacturer has not asked any dealership to place any investment in distributing its vehicles.”

Anyone have the full letter Anderson sent? More than a little interest for everyone on this forum.

Anyone else happy that Scout Chose Rivian to work with instead of Tesla? And im talking about technology wise not politics. Like i just saw a picture of the r2 chassis that thing looks so clean and easy to work with compared to a tesla. Like Rivian truly has it down ti a science now
Im most excited about the software itself. Its pretty mature at this point and will save Scout a lot of money in research and development if they were starting from the ground up.

Reservation holders might also get a discount 😎

(Im speaking this into existence like Cyure)
Don't forget discounts for forum members!
Haha kind of. Forum members will get some perks like early orders.
I placed my reservation the same day they had the October event, but joined the other Scout Forum without realizing there was an official one here. View attachment 7898

Lets keep speaking this into existence :D!

I at least hope that if there are price increases, that reservation holders get things in at some earlier announced pricing (sort of like what Rivian ended up doing after their il-fated "lets charge more... oops, all our reservation holders are pissed, lets give it to them for what we said we would for the early reservation holders"... although I don't think they did that on purpose).

The forum thing felt like a rumor floating around here when I joined, but I didn't see an actual deadline/detail on that until just now.

Although, looking at this now, I see that I probably don't qualify. I did get my reservation in on Oct 25th. I am a forum member... but joined on Oct 27th (took me a minute to find this after the reveal).
