Big Community Event?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Who would like to see Scout Motors put on a big community event where everyone can get together, hang out, and check out the Terra and Traveler? I think it would be a really cool and fun to get all the enthusiasts together. Drive around some new and old Scouts maybe! What are y’all’s thoughts? Give ideas!

This would be great. But, I think it is a bit early for driving around new Scouts. Nowhere near pre-production even.

I agree with you that it's probably too early to drive around the new ones. Maybe that could happen later. It makes a good excuse to do it twice, I guess! 😂 It would still be cool to have the new ones there to check out. And I think it would still be fun to drive around some Scout 80s, 800s, and IIs.

We can all dream…

You mean like the International Harvester Scout & All Truck Nationals? The 35th Anniversary Show is June 12-14, 2026, in Springfield Ohio (http://www.midnitestar.org/). Scout Motors was there in 2025 with both concepts, from the flier it looks like they will be back again next year.

I doubt they will let anyone drive the concepts, and it is not likely the prototypes will be available either (at least, not for us to drive). But, you can get up close and take a bunch of pictures I am sure.

Yes you can and this year we could even touch them! I have tons of pictures my husband took at Nats in my Nats thread. It was a lot of fun and fun seeing all the vintage Scouts. I really hope they go again next year! I’m also hoping they do another presentation with an update as to where things are.

I would consider it more if they did the Brick tour and started in Indiana at the Fort Wayne factory then headed to Blythewood. Would be great as a tie back to the factory launch trip they did. Or better yet Charleston to enjoy playing tourist. I can stay in @LastDayScout ’s guest bedroom 🤣. Southern hospitality and all….

if I recall @Colton_Scout80 was at Nats this year and took quite a few pics. I think he means a SM gathering not an IH Scout gathering that also features the prototypes but maybe I misunderstood his intent of the post. I love old Scouts but a separate community would help foster those new to Scout and potentially separate the gas drinking Scout fans who will sadly hate on the new Scouts. But just my opinion and vantage point

Interestingly enough while at Scouts I overheard a lot of comments and some people clearly were there for the old ones and I didn’t hear anything negative.

I was at Nats this year and it was awesome. I love both Gas and EV vehicles. What I am suggesting is Scout Motors putting on an event and running it. Similar to the one they did for the reveal. All the videos and Pictures I saw from the reveal event looked like an awesome time and I think it would be cool if they did something similar like it again and more community members were able to go.

Ohhh like when they have the production models they could reveal those and have them next to the concepts for comparison. That would be “sick” as the youngs say.

It was a very good event. Can’t imagine what it cost though but so many experiences while there that most will never understand because it just wasn’t hyped up beyond’s the vehicles. I wouldn’t expect SM to pay for another event but I would be there in a heartbeat if they invited me. 😀

I wish I was invited to the reveal it would have been awesome. Fingers crossed they do something similar some day that we can go too! 🤞🏻
