Modesto Scouts | Colton’s Scout Collection & Updates

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
@Colton_Scout80 any updates on teh Scouts?

I have an update on the ol ford. Fixed my shaft no leaks anymore. And i rebuild my signal switch assembly that got destroyed in the process. Then took it for a victory lap
No updates this weekend. Things got busy with work and Mother’s Day. Will have some updates here in the next week.

That’s awesome you got to take it for a victory lap! 🤙🏻

Gotta love on how when you fix something like that, the correct amount of resistance in the power steering pump that the engine now has to fight, has now made my starting procedure change, which means I have to relearn my starting. lol. Fuel injection still can’t beat that fun of figuring out the correct pumps to start.

Modesto Porchfest is this weekend! If you don't know what it is, it's an event where you cruise around town and listen to a ton of local bands playing in their yards. It's always an awesome time! If you're a Modesto native and have never been, I definitely encourage you to check it out!

Goldie Goals for this Weekend!

Saturday:
• Put the rims back on and test the brakes to make sure they do their job 😂
• Finish the ignition cylinder
• Cut out and patch the rust in the floorboards

Sunday:
• Prep the floors for Rhino Liner
• Prep for interior work
Those are excellent goals. Mine are driving to Michigan for archery, watching archery (a tad more exciting than watching paint dry) seeing some archery friends from around the country and being on standby a if there are any judges disputes and a jury is required since I am an archery judge. So basically sitting around all weekend-only thing better would be if we could have cold adult beverages. But upper 70’s to low 80’s and at the moment -no rain is looking like a nice leisurely weekend.
Good luck on the metal work-remember that quite fondly (sarcasm) with our Scout II

Where in Michigan?
Funny thing - I just finished painting the living room ceiling and am watching it dry (and watching tv)…
