What would you be willing to pay for a paint color?

The other thing I find frustrating is when certain colors are locked to certain trim levels.

This would irritate me greatly, especially since this is a direct to consumer model it's not like the colors are truly locked behind dealer availability.

And if there's nothing I really like I'll probably go for a 0$ color and take it to a paint shop!

My suggestion for Scout - try and get a custom paint shop set up in the supplier park. Offer the Scouts in a few standard paint colors for typical buyers and provide a link to the paint shop's price sheet. Or get a custom wrap shop in the supplier park for those folks that want even more options.

Also add graphics to the supplier park. All the different stripes I see in the Scout Encyclopedia would be awesome!

I'd rather Scout not offer any boring colors at all, and have what would normally be the lower-tier of upgraded colors as the standard option for no charge. Do a nice pearl, creamy white as your base white. Do a richer metallic black, etc. Actually, I'm okay doing away with the generic black, white, silver and dark gray altogether. Just don't do a boring palette that look like all of the other manufacturers.

There are people who want white, black and grey. I think all blacked out SUVs look sick as @Colton_Scout80 likes to say. My issue is by the time I buy my Scout my Wrangler will be 15. I’m ready for a color.

I really think they can offer those three core colors and the have colors that represent all the colors of the rainbow.

Very situationally specific for me - As a stand alone option, my limit is $0 unless I truly hate the "base" colors.

But I have to weigh it against the cost of all the other options I'm going to want vs. my overall budget. I don't know what my overall budget is going to be in 2027/28 but if I get all the other "real" stuff i want, and there's a color I really like still within my budget, then, yeah, I'll pay it. I'm only going to do this once, and plan to drive it 10+ years, so might as well get what I want.

So, at this point I don't know

I’m back to charging more for B/W/S and G and let those people pay more for a change
