Exactly ! My dad had one in his old Suburban if I remember correctly and it’s on many boats so it’s something I’ve always lovedThat’s the picture! SM posted that right before launch and I was like OMG I’m even more excited now.

Speaking of the compass, how do I read that one? I assume I'm facing west when I see the 'W', or is west behind me as if I were reading a regular compass. That hurts my brain.Okay I have to have a compass. It’s a requirement for my Traveler. I remember seeing that teaser picture prior to launch of the compass. I ran to tell my husband there’s gonna be a compass on the ceiling!
Love it!

I call my expedition a truck and will probably call the traveler the same…Now I have a question.
What do reservation holders of the Traveler call it? Do you call it an SUV or a truck? I call the Traveler a truck when I’m talking about them. Wondering what everyone else does.
The team was nice enough to open the back for me while they were waiting for the garage to open and moving items out of the way so the Traveler could be pulled into the building.
I made sure to get a picture standing under the tailgate while it was up. Again, I’m 5’7”.View attachment 17695View attachment 17696View attachment 17697View attachment 17698View attachment 17699
I’m not putting a front plate on mine. And NJ requires them but all new cars on the road only rock one.Technically we are to have a front plate in Illinois. It’s in a bag in the back with a tow hook mount and until someone tells us to put it on, it’s staying in the trunk.
Saturday morning we went and walked around down the SC State Capitol. A front plate would ruin the front of this car and there’s no way in heck I’m allowing holes to be drilled in the front. Not gonna happen.
All this to say, please SM don’t put on front plates unless the owner asks for the bracket to be installed.

Now that’s a good questionLooking at this picture, I'm really curious where Scout will put the license plate on the production models. Any info @Jamie@ScoutMotors ?
imagine how nervous that guy is moving that around in tight spaces like that lolWatching the Scout team maneuver the Traveler into place in the Experience Center was like watching a ballet. A scary ballet where one wrong move would result in damage to a $5 million concept vehicle.
They are experts at it and she was moved into place for the event.

To me it’s not really an SUV(Sport Utilitarian Vehicle) I would consider it a Light Duty Truck or a RUV(Rugged Utilitarian Vehicle)Now I have a question.

There were spotters and lots of hand motions. Now that’s a good question

Gonna need an additional parking space to swing that carrier arm outThe team was nice enough to open the back for me while they were waiting for the garage to open and moving items out of the way so the Traveler could be pulled into the building.

Okay that’s a question. Does a Jerry can have to be red or a certain material? Or could you have let’s say a Scout orange metal Jerry can?
Anyone know the answer to that?
True, it could also be yellow I suppose but I would definitely say its the defacto standard.
Thanks for that. I would hate to mix up the blue containers. Both OSHA and the California Air Resources Board mandate color coding for fuel containers:
The reason I was given: "The fuel container color designation system prevents costly and dangerous fuel mix-ups while providing critical information to emergency responders."
- Red containers hold gasoline exclusively.
- Yellow containers are for diesel fuel.
- Blue designates kerosene (though blue can also indicate water, requiring attention to labeling).
- Green containers hold flammable oils including pre-mixed two-stroke fuel.
- Black containers serve as general-purpose vessels approved for any fuel type.
Hear me out… and @Jamie@ScoutMotors this could be cool I THINK! An orange one, looks like a fuel tank, is actually a portable battery for charging or running equipment, with flash light, waterproof Bluetooth speaker, or some sort of cool camp tool like that and have a port on the tailgate to charge it. It would also have to be something that’s locked on there so people don’t take it…Both OSHA and the California Air Resources Board mandate color coding for fuel containers:

Oh yeah, the Terra gets that toolbox in the bed, the Traveler needs something and that could be perfect!Hear me out… and @Jamie@ScoutMotors this could be cool I THINK! I don't hate this, but I am having severe anxiety over the thought of off-roading with the windows down and having to clean an interior like thisView attachment 17700
Little Gemini fun with interior colors

I hope so too cyure, the placement is unique and beautiful. I'm sincerely hope it makes production!I love, love, love the Scout logo on the front. I hope it stays the same and in the same place. Being off center like that is so unique for the front of the vehicle.

Interesting, it has a roof so I look at it as an SUV. LolTo me it’s not really an SUV(Sport Utilitarian Vehicle) I would consider it a Light Duty Truck or a RUV(Rugged Utilitarian Vehicle)
So you can power up at home as well? I’ve always had gas powered vehicles.
