CYURE GOES TO SC!! 8/22/2026

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I met @cyure and her photographer! haha! Only kidding, it was nice to finally meet you you in person and your husbands cool, nonchalant just go with the flow attitude was awesome. He is like a silent assassin with the camera and every time I would go look at the Traveler he'd be there at some different angle taking more pictures. Safe travels and hope to see y'all at another show.

Ok about the vehicles, I now understand cyure's obsession with them. Keep in mind I'm a current Rivian owner so I have a BEV and all the tech I could want, but I literally did not want to leave the Traveler, and every time I started to walk away I turned around and took another look which ended up being another 15 mins or so. I have never felt such a strong attraction to vehicle like this before and I HAVE TO HAVE ONE!

Seriously y'all, if you have not gone to an event yet to see these vehicles and you are really interested, GO! Even as amazing as the pictures are that cyure's husband takes, the vehicles are WAY better in person. But I gotta agree with her the best part is the Scout Team. They are just incredible! My favorite part of the evening was when a deaf woman was looking at the Traveler and she was using her phone to communicate with and one of the Scout Team members knew some sign language, helped her and she reserved our Traveler on the spot and we all celebrated with her. THIS is why this brand is going to be so successful because of the unique ability to instantly build a community no matter the boundaries.

Also, whoever trained the Scout event team hats off to them because they're more tight lipped than the Secret Service lol! Every single question was answered with a "maybe, could be, possibly, we're looking into that, its too soon to tell, we're considering it, etc". But still every team member was fantastic to talk to and the one thing that stood out the most to me was cohesiveness across them and the level of commitment, drive, and excitement they all had toward the company. There are previous Rivian employees and owners, previously Tesla employees and owners, which gives me stronger than ever belief that the finished product is going to be amazing! They are fully committed and closely looking at all the pitfalls that Tesla and Rivian had over the years and are focusing on making sure they don't follow suite.

Ok finally onto my impression of the vehicles. They truly are the perfect size. I still want to see the Terra concept in person before I make full judgement on it, but what I will say is the it looks and feels like a full size truck. Much bigger than the R1T, but not as big as the Silverado EV. However, the thing that stood out the most was the width, they are both very wide vehicles. But the Traveler, oh my the Traveler stole the show! The height with the rack was easily 6'5 because I am 6'2 and I could not even see over the roofline. The best I can describe the overall size of the Traveler is its smaller than the Hummer EV SUV, but its larger than the R1S. They nailed the interior space too. The front looks very comfortable for 6 foot plus in the front while leaving enough room in the back.

My top points. I know what I saw is only a concept model but looking at it you can already tell the build quality of is going to be very high. Additionally, if you want it, the level of luxury is going to be very high. I would expect that this config of the Traveler would be every bit of $100K and tbh I would absolutely pay that to have it in that config. One of my favorite things is the lighting both inside and out. The level of ambient lighting on the inside is perfect and I hope they keep it just like it is. This color combo was awesome in person, it was gun metal matte finish the the top was a cream color which paired really well together, a the team did indicate that there was a "likely chance" this dual color option could be available to config at purchase "depending on how much the people like it". These vehicles are going to be a huge success! Just walking around and hearing what people were saying about them and how excited people get when they see them tells you everything you need to know about how successful they are going to be. THE CABANA TOP! This has to be one of the top selling features for me, and according to the Team they love it just as much and from the sounds of it, it will absolutely make the final version.

I truly can keep going on and on because of how much I have instantly fallen in love with this vehicle, and I will absolutely be at every event I can from here on out. If anyone has any additional questions about the team, event, Scout space, or vehicles I'll be happy to answer them if I can.

P.S. I went to factory too, and the amount of infrastructure, roads, bridges, traffic circles etc that is going on around the factory is incredible to see. Lastly, the factory is MASSIVE and I love seeing the orange lines at the top of the building showing a subtle indication of the incredible legendary brand that is going to call the place home.

Your post was excellent and I share the exact feeling but based on other colors. Once you see them in person they are just perfect and scale/size/balance is perfection. Your exterior photo in the experience center is the best view I seen so far. I love this color but I SO want to get away from neutral. Maybe it’s this color and I wrap the roof in a medium dark blue? I don’t know but so glad you FINALLY experienced what hands full of us have and glad your addiction has begun

That cream roof color really shows differently in every kind of light. From off-white to normal BY

Right!

I hope so too. Each rep all had different answers. Mainly because so much has not been solidified. But at $60k, this base model better be well equipped, because competition certainly is.
Thats what I'm saying.

At that point just let Bronco dominate, they already seem to be getting ready. Developing a Bronco Pickup.

No one on our end said $120k.
Make sure its well equipped thats all I'm saying for 60k i can get a bronco with a good amount of options.

Hope we don't have those stupid configuration packages where you want one thing and the config adds 5 other items and charges you for each of them. Let us choose how we want them.

Thanks! I love the color too and I agree that we need to get away from the neutrals but with the roof being cream and separated by the black trim it brightened it up more than you'd think looking at it. Also, and I'm sure cyure can confirm this but this "grey" really lightened up outside in sunlight.

See these vehicles in person was well worth only spending an hour and half with them and the 6 hour round trip! So much in fact, I will no longer be getting any vehicle in between while I wait on my Scout. I as well as the Scout Team member who owns a Gen 1 Rivian will be sitting tight and waiting for our next vehicle to come to the market. Addicted doesn't even begin to describe the feeling now, its more like @cyure level obsessed now. :ROFLMAO:

Oh no, you didn’t offend at all. I was honestly just curious what you meant. I know nothing about Jerry cans and was curious what other options are typical. Do they come in other colors besides red? Different materials? Is the red a safety thing?

I know I want the BEV, but I love the Jerry can. I’m sure that would do wonders for range. 😹

A 1.2 kWh jerry can could give the Traveler about 2-3 miles of range. ;)

Anything you heard? Like expensive options that Scout think they are gonna get away with?

Well that’s just crazy talk 😀. Maybe another take away for those wanting to see is yet another voice stating it’s well worth up to a 4-6 hour drive. And you are right. You end up spending like 90 minutes. You come and do a happy dance and drool, then you look at every angle, then chat with the team, then take a break, but begrudgingly because you bc any wait to come back and repeat the whole process. Very few vehicles ever nail all the right elements and scout did

To be fair since this is a forum-is there something you didn’t like? Or something you’d change for ‘You’?

I know the steering wheel can be controversial but I love the squircle. I really hope production vehicles have an option for two tone like the concepts.

It’s also felt really comfortable as well.

One of my favorite features and concur with hoping it makes the final cut because it helps strengthen the linear design of the dashboard

Or a 24 hour round trip drive. 🤣

Again, it was mainly just if's, but's, and maybe's but IMO the best answer I can think of is the cabana top. I think we are absolutely going to get it but I have a feeling it will be quite a pricey option.

Additionally, I was told that the A/M options are going to be insane. Now whether that translates to on vehicle options as well is anyone's guess.

Great question! Yes there is, I'm not a fan of the surround lighting in the front and back. Even more so now that I have seen it in person and seen just how open to the elements this design could potentially be. Now, I know the production model will be quite a bit different in this area, but as for me I would not be sad if it didn't have the surround lighting.

Additionally, and again I know it was already mention this will change, but the frunk area looks much smaller than I was hoping. I even asked if the packaging on the production would be better, and I was told it's was a complicated area because of cooling requirements so we'll have to wait and see I guess.

Fortunately, there are Jerry cans that hold more than gas!😉

An hour and a half left. I’m back in the passenger seat.

Ive been thinking. If we have to have trim names what about on the Traveler with the tire carrier the trim name is next to the word Traveler. That way it’s there but it’s not in your face.

I wouldn't say that options will be insane. They will be in line with the equipment and similar to what other manufacturers charge. If anything, adding all the bells and whistles will drive the price up for sure. But that isn't any different than any other vehicle. Off-road packages, for example, are always complicated simply because they require a lot of supporting pieces. Our teams are looking at multiple levels of off-road packages to try and give people more flexibility.

🙋‍♀️ can I put in my order for an off road appearance package? Please and thank you.
