What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
For the Terra, plenty of storage options and a tailgate similar to the Ridgeline. I know there's a frunk, but having additional storage areas under the bed (like Ridgeline) or within the side rails (like RAM) would be amazing. Why more manufacturers don't offer these options is beyond me? The multi-function tailgate is awesome on the Honda Ridgeline and would love to see this on the Terra (assuming no patent issues). Towing packages which I'm assuming will be there along with the great top-down camera views to help facilitate this are awesome.

Welcome!

While I doubt the Terra will have the storage in the side rails like the RAM pickups, I think that storage option would be incredible and I would definitely add that option to my Terra it if they offered it. There must be a good reason that other truck companies don't offer this, and I would guess that reason also applies to the Scouts.

I guess I have more than one. Really want the following:
1. Phone as key with the ability to start the vehicle to be driven by someone without a key.
2. The ability to precondition the cabin using a schedule based on day, time, and location.
3. Matrix headlights.
4. Advanced security system like Sentry Mode from that other car company. Particularly, the feature that allows remote viewing of the cameras.

Welcome to the forum. Out of curiosity-why matrix-just because or you have deeper thinking in your want for them? I like them on Audis but I’m not sure I’d want them on a Scout. So just curious to hear your why?

I have them on my car and I think they’re great, it’s nice on unlit roads where I can still have my side of the road lit up along with the side of the road to help look for deer without having to dip them or blind a car that is oncoming.

So your not saying the different LED’s that can pattern out, etc. for looks. You want the active lights that block out. That I understand. I guess I’m so used to the Audi matrix that are more about blink patterns ,etc.. that I was thinking that route. From your point of view @Chaz26 i would agree with that-not that I was disagreeing earlier-just was curious why OP wanted them.

Yeah that’s the main reason for me. They can also pattern out and do ‘light shows’ but I just wanted them for the high beam function. Hopefully that will start to be more common here now they are legal. Most vehicles in Europe have them these days.

Yeah. I didn’t realize the U.S. was now allowing them to hence the reason I thought about it only from the patterning/entertainment point of view
