What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
There are some comfort creatures that I have grown to love in current cars.

Adaptable headlights, rain sensing wipers, heated and ventilated seats.

But one feature I love is simply being able to walk away from the car and it automatically locking.

What feature would you like to see?
Yes, there are lots of features that have been added to newer cars which add to cost and make them more owners of us than we owners of them. I still like walking around to lock the other door. That auto-locking feature might be fine if you're forgetful and live in an urban environment. It better have a disable switch somewhere in the system menus. More than once I've had to flee some critter's teeth/horns/hooves to the safety of my vehicle. (I my most memorable instance I didn't get to the door: thanks to the square boxy bumper and hood of the Scout 80 I got to the roof just as the alligator's teeth were reaching above the headlights -- Everglades National Park, 1967 -- they only look lethargic).

Ok, I’m picturing a new must-have feature: “alligator mode” where you climb up on the hood and the power frunk opener pops you up to the roof.

I don’t know if it’s been mentioned yet on the forum but my wife just got a Rav 4 for the time being and there’s a feature I like. I’m also not certain if this is a new standard as we were driving vehicles from 2009 and 2012.

There is a defrost for the wiper area when they are in the off position (where snow and ice generally build up). This would be awesome to have as defrost selection and to also incorporate it into the auto start/warm up.
That’s a great feature
