Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Saw my first Gravity two weeks ago while driving in traffic. I mindlessly stared at it ahead of me for a good minute thinking nothing of it before realizing, hey wait a sec, that's the new Gravity and I hadn't seen one yet. It's really that boring and that generic on the roads, no wonder it's being overlooked by buyers.
It's funny you would say that. A lot of the vehicle writers expressed a similar feeling, not those words exactly about the new Gravity.

Yeah I had the same feelings towards the Mercedes EQ lineup as well. It's absolute numbness. I don't feel joy, hate, want, reject, inspiration, aspiration, or anything. It's really odd. Afeela is probably in that bucket as well. They're traffic cars from a video game made to look generic to avoid trademark infringement on actual cars.

Is the CLAR platform good for body on frame? It seems if they want to compete in the off road arena this is a must.
CLAR has never been used in any body on frame aspect. And it was built for Monocoque Chassis. So for that i really don't know. Ill see if i can get anything from anyone when I'm back in the building tomorrow.

Rancheroooooooooo

Not to be confused with the Canyonero.

🎶Can you name the truck with four wheel drive,
smells like a steak and seats thirty-five..

Canyonero! Canyonero!

Well, it goes real slow with the hammer down,

It's the country-fried truck endorsed by a clown!

Canyonero! (Yah!) Canyonero!

[Krusty:] Hey Hey

The Federal Highway commission has ruled the
Canyonero unsafe for highway or city driving.

Canyonero!

12 yards long, 2 lanes wide,
65 tons of American Pride!

Canyonero! Canyonero!

Top of the line in utility sports,
Unexplained fires are a matter for the courts!

Canyonero! Canyonero! (Yah!)

She blinds everybody with her super high beams,
She's a squirrel crushing, deer smacking, driving machine!

Canyonero!-oh woah, Canyonero! (Yah!)

Drive Canyonero!

Woah Canyonero!

Woah!🎶

They all want a slice of that Overland Tax.

The global off-road vehicle market (which includes ATVs, UTVs, off-road motorcycles, snowmobiles, etc.) was valued at approximately USD 22.9 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach USD 30.7 billion by 2030, with a 5% CAGR from 2025 to 2030. North America is a leading region in this space.

Not exactly news related but I came across a crazy video of what appears to be a Ford Mustang Mach E that lost steering and throttle control grinding itself into a barrier while the driver is praying. Has a pretty rough ending.

I saw that too. No brake lights but I don’t know if that’s because the car was malfunctioning or because he wasn’t trying anymore.

Several people seemed to think it was either him panicking and using the accelerator instead of the brake or it was a scam which seems absolutely nuts to me. I’m cynical but that’s deadly!

The brake lights engaged when the Mustang hit the red car—seems like that’s when the automated safety systems engaged. It sure seems like it was entirely driver panicking or purposefully doing something stupid. But we won’t know unless or until the driver or Ford release information about the incident.

Why didn’t the automated safety systems engage while it was dragging its side along the barriers? Seems to me that’s such a low-probability event that the safety systems just haven’t been required nor designed/tested to respond in this situation. Seems like something that needs to be considered.

Interesting take but doesn’t surprise me to hear that. Its shape isn’t memorable and it’s not WOWing people-so I suspect. Bummer for them
