What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I would like to see a Central Tire Inflation System like they had on some Hummer models. It makes it easy to air down and then re-inflate. Also, a winch integrated into the high voltage system which could make it quite powerful and less worry about running down the low voltage battery.
Welcome aboard. Both these topics have had a lot of discussion. If interested in seeing the conversations just grab the search button and key word search something like “winch”. Enjoy the forum

Not sure I have seen this mentioned anywhere, but pixel/matrix headlights are SO nice and I hope Scout at least offers them as an option.
I realize they are more expensive and not user-serviceable, but the benefits outweigh all that for me.

Also cornering lights. On my Subaru the headlights literally turn with the steering wheel, and on the Polestar there are lights that turn on on either side of the car once enough steering angle is put in. Both implementations are great for nighttime driving

I think my VW headlights are 1200 each - and I have had 2 broken so far. HID is king of headlights - point source, no spill. Plus the mechanical low beam cutoff - perfect cutoff line, no spill. Plus the adaptive headlights that are tied to steering. Only thing it is really missing is auto low beam (it was before it's time).

There are almost too many unmentioned features to count yet. Folding rear seats (preferably flat_, fold forward front seats), fold down console on the bench seat (especially if tailgate to front seats is not 6'), full driving assist features (a laundry list in and of itself), proximity entry, camping/pet modes, rear camera - those are essentially my must haves. Wireless airplay would be very much appreciated, as well as 360 cameras and a front camera. Solid roof, preferably insulated and reinforced - I really don't want an easy bake oven of glass. Option of a quality roof rack (not a OEM, but from a major roof rack manufacturer), KC light bar?

Other things that probably would not change my buying decision, but might be nice. Cell phone/smart watch key, HUD. Mini Starlink, Cargo shelf that can extend over folded seats for sleeping (will build one myself if it is not offered). Removable rear seats (can gain a lot of storage space under the cargo shelf). Dash camera with recorder (could just as soon add multiple recorders - I have been keyed by assholes before). Offroad bumpers with integrated front winch. 1" more lift (lift package could be an option maybe?
---
I am curious what all the 18" of buttons control. Knowing more could help sell the wide display to me - as it is, I don't see the benefit, and would almost want a smaller display (especially if a HUD could be used for heads up info).
---
Now if I really want to dream - heritage edition with round headlights, 2 tone paint scheme, pinstrips. I could be mistaken, but every original scout had round headlights. Saw a heritage edition Bronco this evening - it was a nice difference. Probably also simply the rear tire carrier too.
Absolutely yes to round headlights, rear tire carrier, 2tone paint. Heritage Edition! Perfect.

This one can be easy enough with programming. Allow the user to determine which doors unlock when you open the drivers or passenger door (via proximity key). It is frustrating with my F250. If I open the passenger door, all doors unlock, but if I open the drivers door - I have to reach in to hit the lock switch to put groceries in the driver side back seat - or for passengers to enter. Have not found a defeat in the infotainment system to unlock multiple doors from the drivers side automatically.

If done without programming, it would be nice if the proximity key could unlock any door - not just the front doors and the tailgate. But that would require more sensors and wiring.

I thought I read somewhere that the Ford locking you describe could be accomplished via Forescan…

Have to tell you that with round headlamps the Scout looks like a Bronco. Yes, the Scout 80 was on the market five years before Bronco came around, but the general public has no idea. That's part of the reason we didn't do it. Also, back then there wasn't anything but round headlamps available. The Scout II went rectangular in 1980 with no signs of going back. There were a lot of early design renders around our front end styling with just about every imaginable type of headlamps.

Be awesome to see some of the early outlines one day after launch

Bring back the rectangles/square lights!!! But also, thanks for the insight.

I personally love the design as is tho, so I hope the production models don’t lose too much from what has been shown around

I assumed the concept vehicles as shown were basically identical to the production models.
They have said they are 85% of what production vehicles will be. For example we do know the concepts don’t have a rear windshield wiper, and Jamie has indicated that they will have one.

Even if the changes are small, I still can’t wait to see the production models.

When do we get to see them Jamie? Even just pictures? Heck even just the exterior. I’ll take any sneak peeks at this point. Thanks Jamie!
According to Jamie's post we have already seen the production models if they are virtually identical to the concepts. 😉

I liken this new design to the rectangles, just without the chrome bezel BUT, the thin LED light border kinda acts like a modern trim border
