What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Welcome to the community. The Scouts were at CES in Vegas in January and they showed some of the things you are asking for. They showed how you can swipe the screen and switch places between let’s say the map and the music so your passenger could do either one. And they also showed a detox mode that turns off the screens and just leaves minimal info.

A great follow is @Jamie@ScoutMotors he keeps us updated from the manufacturer side.

And here is one of the CES videos

I interpreted what they are hoping for is the actual physical screen would slide over, not just moveable screen tiles.

That would be cool until last use your passenger slid it all the way over then you’d have to lean way over-unless of course you have the bench seat option 🤣
I agree. Unimogs offer a cool feature called Variopilot. The steering wheel, pedals, and gauges can slide from one side of the cab to the other in 30 seconds.

There are some comfort creatures that I have grown to love in current cars.

Adaptable headlights, rain sensing wipers, heated and ventilated seats.

But one feature I love is simply being able to walk away from the car and it automatically locking.

What feature would you like to see?
Love those ideas! I would add heated steering wheel—I’ve got arthritis in my hands and my husband has this in his car—it’s the one feature in his new Lightning I covet :)

Scout. “People. Connections. Community. Authenticity." Welcome to the Scout community. Enjoy the ride. 🛻 🚙
Remember the built in search on the forums is a great place to start getting answers to your many questions. 😀

Completely agree. Welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing a post. Enjoy the weeks worth of knowledge and babbling we have accrued over nearly 3 years 😀

1) I want full control over the Harvester engine. I'm thinking 3 modes 2 auto 1 full manual.
2) I want full control over the Stability/traction control. I hate that most systems reactivate over 30mph.
If you watch some of the videos from
CES in January or maybe it was the Jay Lenos Garage, apologies but I forget which video it was exactly, but they did mention you will have options you can select for the Harvester. All electric, all Harvester or let the car decide. I haven’t watched it in a bit but that’s what I am remembering.

Well whatever the reason it’s not great to steer and park. And I still get alerts from CarGurus and I see so many 24s popping up. And they are offering low finance rates and lowered the lease from $999 a month to $849 a month. I get the impression they aren’t selling.
The car market has taught me the thing - stated vs revealed preferences. When asked, consumers will demand one thing, but when actually spending money they will get something else. I think this is why us enthusiasts need to be more gentle on car brands - we may be all clamoring for something, but the actual revealed preference demand for that may be negligible.

Gotta have the no-key(phone) to auto lock/unlock. Heated and venthilated seats are a must. A locking bed cover and electric back window would be great.
