What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Not sure if this has been mentioned already but would love to see some type of autopilot/supercruise for highway driving. After a long camping trip or off roading all day, it would be nice to have the car drive itself home on the highway. Off-roading and camping can be fatiguing, so having this capability on the drive home would be a huge benefit. Not only the drive home but driving to the off-roading spot so you’re rested when your arrive. I still want to drive the car 95% of the time but having that option on the highway would be a huge plus.

Currently a GMC Sierra Ev edition one owner and love how the car drives me home after a long camping trip. Increases my awareness/safety on the drive home.
Welcome to our little slice of heaven

There has been quite a bit of debate. I will say my overall impression is more against than for it but to each their own. Generally we encourage new folks to utilize the search icon as there has been a ton of info compiled on here over the past 2-1/3 years so it will help you find topics you are interested in and see whether there are legit answers or just a lot of theorizing 🤣 (we do A LOT of that on the forum). Again-welcome aboard and enjoy the forum

Several (or all) of these have been mentioned. I’ve broken mine down into must-haves and like to have:
Must have:
Apple Car Play - (this is a must-have for home tranquility. Good luck Rivian, GM and Tesla.)
Split cabin temperature
Adaptive cruise control
Extending thigh support
Low speed front and rear camera support

Like to have:
360 camera support with low-power sentry mode and easy export to phone app w/ maybe thumb drive back-up.
Power source on dash and overhead bin for aux power to camera, detectors, etc.
Rail mount on dash would be nice too
No piano black…especially in high use area (good grief Jeep, thats why I walked away from a GC 4xe)
Easy maintenance/access generator motor of gas, gas filter, oil, oil filter, spark plugs (or none?) and air filter.

Holy Crap I hate that!
I get occular migraines and one of the triggers are sudden flashes of intense light from say, looking at my watch and getting a sun reflection.
My Sportage PHEV HAD piano black on the armrests and center console but I found some one selling matching, perfect fitting wood grained molded plastic applicas that covered them. I acually bought them 4 mos before I finally found the car, as they were so hard to get in NM.

I don’t think an off-road vehicle should have any piano black on it.

On a slightly related tangent, how do folks feel about the hemp wood interior trim? I like it a lot. I think Scott Keogh said in the Jay Leno interview while they were sitting in the Traveler that “the truck has hemp wood”. I sure hope they make hemp wood an option for the Traveler!

I really like the hemp wood but depending on the color I choose I may want the hemp wood to be stained a different color than natural. But I really like the natural materials a lot.

Just put my reservation in for the Terra Electric+Gas today. Excited to see what scout does!
I am having trouble finding it but am pretty sure they have confirmed they plan to integrate a Level II+ Driver Assist.

As a fellow migraine sufferer I hear you. Mine seem worst with storm front pressure drops but anything helps and yes, no piano black. Would be nice to get a “dimpled”/textured surface on the upper dash too to reduce some of that glare as well

I having seen it at the reveal I’ll say it was beautiful and it has depth when you see it in person. I do wish they’d add a bit of gray to the finish though as it was a touch orange-for lack of better description. Something like a weather wood tone or mushroom tint would really make it pop. But I really liked it because it’s like nothing I’ve seen in any other vehicles and it’s a more earth friendly solution so not that I’m championing that-it’s an added bonus

I know this won't be popular but I don't want a fob. Give me a basic key. (maybe as an option) I can't take a fob on a paddle board, I don't want that much bulk in my pocket, I don't want a 'backup key' flipping out of the fob and stabbing me in the leg, I don't want that many RF endpoints for a hacker. Hell if it has a finger print reader to access/start I'd be cool with that. Maybe disguise it as a key hole, or put it on the inside of the door handle.

I love my Tesla key through my phone app, one less thing to carry around and as long as I have my phone I can drive it. I did enable a pin on the touchscreen as well but not losing keys or having them stolen is incredible.

I totally get your point also regarding not being able to get electronics wet, guess helps protect against some thieves but then again thieves always evolve.

Let’s hope they include UWB so we can use our phones as keys even when there is no cell service.

I know you asked for one, but for those of us who might install light bars, cell boosters, radios and other things that need power, it would be awesome to just have a spot with plugs and a fuse spot next to each. That way we don't have to figure out where to hook into the fuse box, where to ground, etc. Just make some ports, add a spot for a fuse next to each port, sell the connectors and let us get to work. ;)
