What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Hi everyone on the Scout forum!

I'm excited to be making my first post here! I was so thrilled after hearing the CEO mention in the MotorTrend interview that the SUV would get a front bench seat option that I went ahead and put in an order for the Scout Traveller EREV.

I've heard that the Scout team [@Jamie@ScoutMotors ] might be keeping an eye on this forum for feedback, so I wanted to share a few thoughts (apologies if these ideas have already been suggested!):

• Front Bench Seat & Charging: My biggest hope is that the version with the front bench seat can still incorporate dual wireless chargers somewhere, maybe within a fold-down center armrest? Also, the captain's chair version has two USB outlets on the back of the center console for rear passengers – it would be fantastic if those weren't lost with the bench seat setup!
• Second-Row Tray Tables: How about adding foldable tray tables for the second row, similar to the ones in the Lucid Gravity? It seems like a simple addition that would make a huge difference, especially for those of us with kids. Putting USB outlets near the tables would be even better!
• Integrated Dashcam: An integrated dashcam and a security feature like Tesla's Sentry Mode would be amazing for peace of mind.
• Driver Assistance: A strong driver assistance system is key. It would be great if it offered capabilities at least on par with Tesla's Autopilot, including functioning well on city streets.
• Sliding Back Window

Most radiant heaters I'm aware of are pretty power hungry. Is that wise for an EV?

I was wondering about that. The general HVAC heat pump will be more efficient at producing BTU, but it will heat the air and maybe have higher losses through the windows and bodywork? A radiant heater in the footwell region is less efficient at producing BTU but some of the heat is directly radiant onto you and thus more effective?

I was just told the other day from a supplier for residential that it really isn’t. That was my thought because I commented about the need for gas to run them. He said majority are now electric and very reasonable to run. Sales talk for sure but he said they sell a lot for like screen porches. Said the wiring is expensive (which makes sense) but otherwise not bad. Between those two tidbits this past week just made me think of it for tailgate heater

When I think of radiant heaters, most are the NiCr wire types. Even a small one sucks up about 500w. Now radiant heat for a floor like my bathrooms at home, or in the case of car types that circulate the engine cooling water through a radiator with fan still require a heat source.

Everything I've heard about infrared/radiant heaters is that they work fairly well in open or large areas where you want to focus the heat on a specific area (such as a porch or deck when you want to get some heat to your seating area, or heating a workstation in a warehouse which is kept much colder in other spaces). However, they do not come close to approaching the efficiency of a heat pump when heating enclosed spaces. The exception to this is when a heat pump is battling extremely cold temperatures, in which case the efficiency drops enough that other sources will beat it.
