Scout Badges/Patches

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Similar to Mercedes high mileage badge program and Jeeps trail badges I believe Scout should do a Scout Patch/Badges for different things Including mileage, specific trails, one's signifying ownership of specific Scout models from the past, specific Scout car shows or trail events, and maybe even one's for the Scout Forum Members. either have a specific location for them to be displayed on the outside grille or fender or rear end of the vehicle or in the interior on the dash or behind the front seats. Would be neat to make them look similar to Boy Scout patches. Any ideas on other badges/patches you would like to see/collect or ideas on locations on the vehicle?

That’s another great idea

Cool idea. Regarless of the logo or symbol style. I'd request that the physical shape is hexagon (honeycomb) very space efficient and looks great as you build out the collection.
I like this idea, maybe have spots on the inside of the tire carrier where you can place them. That way if you are tailgating and someone walks by and sees them it could start a conversation.

Posted on another thread but these were provided at the reveal in our swag bags. A Terra and a traveler. All they need beyond the campfire is some Coffee!

That's neat!! pretty cool to see some behind the scenes stuff of what you got for going to the reveal! Thanks for sharing. also Love the pins idea as well. Maybe we could see a cork dash instead of the wood that you could put pins on? may not hold up over time but if it was easy enough to replace it might not be a bad idea.

Funny you say that. 10 years ago we built a house and installed cork floors. They are awesome.
When I saw the hemp wood on the dashes it reminded me of cork and I thought same thing. Cork would be a cool option as it doesn’t have to look like corkboard-but some looks like rich wood.

You ever see that meme of someone glueing gem stones all over their steering wheel for good vibes?.... Essentially making a frag grenade. I get that vision placing sharp objects all over the front of the dash...

See this is why it's important to get an outside perspective lol. This made me laugh and thanks for pointing out the obvious flaw in this idea!!

I know a lot of people put patches on their headliners for places they have been or things they are interested in and I like the idea of Scout badges in the vein of boy/girl scouts merit badges. Scout could easily come up with merit/demerit badges that commemorate firsts in your own driving/off-roading/camping/adventuring achievements or embarrassments. I'm more of a fan of light hearted demerit badges myself. They could be sold on Scout Supply or included as a pack with your vehicle purchase.

(not my rig or badge designs below, just images I found on the internet to visualize the ideas I'm trying to convey)

This was actually discussed (years ago). Lots of ideas, even digital badges that can transfer but also stay with the vehicle so overtime a legacy line is created with everywhere the scout has been. I’m more for a digital badges but that’s me. Simple to do and SM could even put WR code posts at various locations so you scan it and QR code sends it to your Scout account

Being digital you could have unlimited badges and they could be created for special events super easy.

I'd imagine that digital badges would be more like "videogame achievements".

IE, you don't have to "do" anything (manual) to do them, you just get them when you do the requirement. And with GPS built in/onboard, it would be pretty easy to do something like "your vehicle entered the GPS coordinate range of Moran State Park on Orcas Island, now award the "You visited Moran State Park" badge".

(and yes, I used Moran State park on purpose, because I saw it up there, and I'm a pseudo local. I helped rebuild some of their bridges on hiking trails with the youth group I lead there a year or so ago)

But I'd also want a way to turn it off (at least the notifications), as I'm not sure its a feature I'd want.
