Trail program?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Jeep created a program called the Badge of Honor. They have a smartphone app that has 60ish iconic trails from across that country listed. If you visit one of the trails, the smartphone GPS is used to verify you were there and Jeep sends you a hard badge for the trail to use however you like. It's an awesome concept. Several friends and I have done trips across the country specifically to get those Jeep badges. It really helps to enhance the community and create some awesome memories with the vehicle with the hard badge being a permanent reminder of the trip.

They also have community events like the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab to bring the community together and get out on trails. Perhaps Scout could create some kind of similar program to encourage owners to get out and use their vehicles or to bring the owner community together for fun events.

There has been a lot of discussion about similar ideas over the past 23-1/2 months and SM seems to be on board and open so I’m sure in time they will announce more. Big discussion had was electronic badges right to your vehicle history so 20years later, even 3rd owner would be able to see where it went. Integrated geo tracking, packages where if you visit 3-4 locations you get a t-shirt for that region or if they build Scoutposts you can stop and get a sticker for said “park”. lots of cool ideas if you spend time digging through some of the long standing threads on the forum.
A national Scout scavenger hunt would be a cool concept.

Awesome, I'll take a look through the forums and see if I can find those threads. :)

Wish I could remember which threads but being on since almost day one my mind is fried and last 3 days I’m surprised it has t exploded ?
I'd start with searching "OnX", "Trails", and ""Ducks". I believe the Jeep dash ducks started the conversation about digitally sharing something simular to Jeep ducks that didn't take up dash space and I want to say that conversation grew from there. ...but like you said that was a while ago. Memory is a bit foggy.
