Real Bench Seat

I’ve owned vehicles with the old school bench seats, and newer vehicles with bench seat/flip down console, it’s NOT the same when the middle section is stationary, it’s VERY uncomfortable.
I’m begging you PLEASE
bring back the original design, 50/50 split adjustable or all three adjustable.

It would be interesting to see what drives the demand for the bench seat. I want a bench, but seriously doubt anyone will ever be riding in the center section. For me, it will mostly be so a dog can get a 60% seat. When I was younger, I thought a bench would be nice for girlfriends - but reality, even girlfriends preferred to sit on the far 40% the vast majority of the time (abet it probably depended on where in the relationship we were-very early on, the percentage might have been up slightly).

Anyway, a flip down console would make the most sense for me almost all the time (giving me the option for a dog to get a little closer when they were the primary passenger).

Good point. I could see a Terra commercial with a contractor who has a company mascot”dog” so during commute the dog is right there with head on drivers leg then at the job site contractor is in passenger seat on laptop with the pull out tray and the dog is looking over the steering wheel at the job site. And somewhere in there is a cool storyline.

As a family of three, I suspect we'd all be up front often, with the rear seats folded down for a larger cargo area. Perfect for Home Depot and Costco runs! I wonder how many pine straw bales I can fit in the back of a Traveler? Or, maybe a repeat of 2020? I'll bet I can squeeze a LOT of Charmin in the back, though Mr. Whipple would NOT approve.

I am definitely getting the bench. We are a family of 4 so wouldn't need the bench often, however I have 6 seats now (3 rows of 2) and once a month or so I need the extra seats to carry my kid's friends to school, activities, etc.

That’s the ideal reason to get them. But does the front middle hump become the cool seat or the crappy seat? And does it depend on which kiddo’s friends are being hauled?

The front center seat has a big screen in front of it, so of course it'll be the cool seat for kids nowadays!
