  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scoutsâ„¢. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

I continue to presume that for early CDN reservation holders, our order in the queue will be preserved but only as it pertains to CDN availability which is not likely till the 2nd year. I think I'm ok with that. By then there will be a mature owner community with shared information, OTA updates, manufacturing improvements and tolerances refined. My new model: Observe. Validate. Commit.

Right now I’m still at faith and patience, but that’s a good one for after deliveries start.

The Traveler Harvester. I may change that up as they get closer to finding out included features, options, and price. So sweet looking and no big bug oval eyes!

Terra Harvester.

I've had a few Dodge RAM 2500 Cummins model 2500 trucks. I don't really need a truck but they're handy. Not had a truck in 12 years at all because they're just too expensive to run and feed and maintain for what I use them for. My Audi A3 PHEV (2016) will need to be replaced and a truck run on battery power is a lot easier to afford the daily costs of running so you can indulge in a truck even if you don't "need" one (ie, your use is not one that pays for itself in costs). I don't need a billion mile BEV since most of my use is around town or shorter jaunts inside the state so to save the planet from the costs of a big battery and spreading the battery love (they can make more vehicles with smaller batteries for the same minerals and battery costs), and because for the rare needs of longer travel the EREV has me covered, and I won't get left in the lurch if the HV battery runs empty, the Terra Harvester makes the most sense. No need to lug a big heavy battery around that doesn't get used very often. And still have the range for those rare occasions. And not be stranded on the side of the road. (A friend of mine had a rental EV and the range given by the computer was more than ample for his trip to his meeting and back -- yet it died on the side of the road and he had to pay for an expensive tow -- no thanks)

This is why I’m glad they are making both. Everyone can get what they want/need.
