We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. Still liking the platform concept on the Terra, but will offer a few un-solicited suggestions - as I have a similar platform on my Jeep, and have played with it a bit. I really like being able to stand on mine. As it is designed now - I really don't think that would probably be a good idea. First problem is that the slats don't appear to have any support other than the ends. A foot in the center of one of the planks will probably created a bit of deflection. Mine has several crossbars under it (that connect to the side channels) to prevent that (which force the platform to be a little taller and less clean looking). Mine also has smaller slat spacing (the slats are about the same width, but with less gap). I really wish the company that made mine would have had an option to add a few more slats to decrease that spacing more. 1" gaps would be easier to walk on than 5" gaps - more of a deck. Plus it would shade the roof more from the sun.
One other thing - since mine platform is supported by the cross braces - it was possible to give it a bit of overhand front the pillars. Now I have 2 of them, because I realized I really liked it the next size wider. While going the next size wider, probably also made it the next size longer as well. If I get a chance, I will take a tape measure to the old and new ones and confirm that. Likewise, could post a old picture of mine, but I really don't know if it is the old or new rack without confirming first (I also lowered the towers during the change, which does change the looks a bit, getting it closer to the height yours already is). Bonus of the overhang - I can rest a portable ladder on the platform without hitting the sides of the roof.
Anyway, wider, longer, cross supports, more slats - more practical if not as pretty. Oh, forgot one other reason I upgraded to wider - It gave me more room on the light bar - I went with KC lights, it let me add 2 more IIRC.

Finally the pull out work tray. Ive been looking to see it. I feel like its barely shown. It's like the Forgotten middle child for the Scouts.
The last time I think ive seen it was in the reveal pictures.
The work out tray is nice to see. I really hope that comes to full production. Don’t know if regulations would hinder that.
I thought some other vehicles had them. Anybody know any?
I know Ford has a foldable tray that comes out the center console but I don’t think I’ve seen that on any other cars.

I think for contractors working out of their truck with a bench seat it is brilliant. That was a very early on suggestion on this forum that somebody made and I think from that standpoint it is great. The original suggestion as I recall was sporting events where a spouse needs to work during a tournament, etc…. Hope it carries through

I got there later in the evening, so you’ll see some with the lights turned on. Both vehicles looked beautiful and felt bigger in person which I had hoped for! Not the best pics but they’ll do I guess. And as you can tell, I was mainly focused on the Traveler but I did get some shots of the Terra as well. That Terra looked like a beast and had me somewhat rethinking my Traveler decision.
This is the first time I have noticed a light for function selection for one of the center switches. In the last photo.
Here’s some more. It was a really nice event! Live music, lots of Scout reps to answer questions. Free beer! And I didn’t get a patch but I did get a free koozie and a bandana! I overheard a lot of folks who didn’t know about scout and the vast majority were very impressed.
Thanks so much for the pictures! And the added flare so we get a taste of what it was like to be there!
