Off Road Performance

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Hell Yeah! When in college at Appalachian I used to take my Jeep through some gnarly mud holes like this. Miss those days. But your recovery was the best. I love it, “Hit It!!!” Good times.

Also to be clear I will not be purposefully taking the new Scout through anything like this. I will pass that along to the Jeep or the FJ if I end up with the Traveler!
I went to WCU, had a lot of friends at App.

Any specifics on the suspension system itself? Be great if they had something like the Jeep Galdiator Rubicon vs Mojave options. Those Mojaves ride well for a Jeep.

Welcome to the forum. Nothing definitive on the suspension or the axles, or really anything at this point 🤣. Lots of speculation so throw your 2 cents in (or a nickel I guess since Pennie’s are finally ending production) and let SM know what you would like.

All we know is an independent front suspension, solid rear axle, available air suspension + sway bar disconnect.
I believe the Offroad Package also has offroad tuned suspension.

Edit:
They touch on suspension options around the 1 hour 6 minute mark.

I don't remember Scout commenting on tuned suspension. I may be wrong. It would be nice though.
I don’t either but it just makes sense that they would do that. I don’t see them saying hey this is a vehicle that can take you anywhere and not have a take you anywhere tuned package.

I feel like I saw something somewhere on here but too much info here to remember where. Guess we will continue being patient
I did a search for off road tuned suspension. But, nothing came up except a statement from Scott saying they would be doing a "Proper" off road vehicle. One can only hope this will be part of that configuration.

Ha! I have this little count down clock on my desk. Got it on Amazon. It’s 950 days to December 31, 2027. I know they said end so I just picked the last day of that year.
We will get to order them in 2027, but Scout isnt delivering until 2028 unless I missed something.

That being said once the Builder Page is open I will be playing with it every day until mine arrives. lol
