New Traveler Color Concept - Satin White Traveler

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I agree they do look very bright here, but I'm not opposed to that. Makes the side of the vehicle more visible to other motorists in the dark. I agree too, I noticed the Harvester location was very well lit. Had to be intentional.
These lights (at least on other vehicles that have them, including my R1T) would turn "ON" when the vehicle is parked and unlocked (as part of a lighting setting) FYI.

So, they would likely remain un-lit when in DRIVE (not making the vehicle more visible to other motorists). Either way, looks like Scout may not provide these specific door handle lights at launch.

There are some great lighting features that can be helpful for things like Camp Mode that could be enabled... TBD how Scout will deploy their version of Camp Mode in production, but here's how Rivian did it for reference, since much of this could be easily enabled through SW: https://stories.rivian.com/software-update-camping

Here's a pic (someone else's) of the puddle light:

I know they are showcasing this color live in SC now, but is the image posted a rendering?

To do a shot like the one above requires shooting multiple shots (without lights exposing for the car, without lights exposing for the background, then with just brake lights, another with just side lights, another with front lights, etc., etc). Then all those photos are layered into one image. It does make it look sort of "fake" sometimes, but it is a real photograph, scene and vehicle.

We even had a fake inflatable "moon" light...

Agreed. Even though my Rivian has protruded handles it still helps to have them back lit in very dark areas.

However, a bright puddle light could suffice though.

I should qualify my other answer to say the way they are lit on the concept may not make it to the production version.

As always, thanks for replying directly Jamie. I figured it was real since it's being shown in that color.

Ohh yea, I know the puddle lights wouldn't be on under normal driving, but I was more interested in the door handles potentially being lit while driving. I'm all about making vehicles more visible in the dark.

Honestly I like the raw photos just as much if not more. I mean the one with just the guy squatting and taking a picture of his rig will be all of us at some point. 🤙

If they’re amber (front) and red (rear), I think they would be legal. But if they’re white or all one color, I don’t think they can operate when the vehicle is in motion. The regulations are specific on color, minimum number, and location of side marker lamps. But they’re a little less well-defined on total number and locations of extra lamps. But color is a big deal. So if Scout wants to have them on while driving, I think they need to be amber for the front doors and probably red for the rear doors. That might mess up the aesthetic? I don’t know.

Yea it would be weird if they had to be separate colors, I agree.

As in the RX-78, ya nerds.

(screw that dork who broke into that house in Burbank with a Demon Hunters shirt. He is a crummy example of an anime fan. REAL unhinged anime fans post photos on official car manufacturer forums of their weirdo Gemini dream builds just for the attention)
