From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.
Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.
How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.
Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Thunderstorm just rolled in here!I guess I spoke too soon about the weather because it’s now raining and going to rain for the next couple of days.

Expect lots of updates this Friday through Sunday. I’m going to be working on Goldie those days. It’s supposed to pour rain, and I don’t have room to pull her into the shop, so I had to get one of those pop up covers. Should be an interesting time! Hopefully I don’t get soaked!

Made a little more progress on the rear axel today!
I wish I had the time and energy to tinker. Looks like fun and satisfaction after a frustrating day of work
Removed the old bearings and pressed on the new ones. Going to work on reassembling the rear axle and installing new rear brakes tomorrow. Hopefully I can finish everything tomorrow. After that, I’m going to work on the ignition cylinder and patch the floors.
Sometimes projects don’t go as planned lol! After finishing the driver side rear axle and brakes, I discovered that the rear bearing on the passenger side is a little wonky and is going in weird. Now I’ve got to get a new bearing and press it again. That’s going to be a project for another weekend, so unfortunately there’s still more axle work to be done! Here are some pictures of the finished driver side rear axle and brakes. Working on the carb now.
Carb is functioning properly and the relay for the fuel pump is installed and working like it should. I let it run for about 30 minutes to burn off some dirt and grime. Oil pressure and temps are looking good! I’ll post a video of it running on my channel and link it here in a few. That’s all for today!
