From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.
Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.
How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.
Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. I think this is old news. There were issues with wetlands impact and local rivers. However, Richland County was ultimately responsible for preparing and managing.
Agree but figure if someone is going to post to the forum asking how to address concerns they should quote or list specifics otherwise this becomes like every other article where assumptions and AI just make for attention getting. And yes- majority of the environmental was the county level but having SM name on the project washes back over them so just think if people want to ask for answers they should ask more specific questions. Just like this elderly couple sueing-the way SC DEP was hawking down on the project I would think if a home owner did have issues related to environmental oversights they be on this by now as well
We’ve had this discussion before, and I’m still not interested in validating my credentials with… anyone.
I appreciate your “figuring,” but what you’ve decided is my burden to address is, quite simply, not. The concerns surrounding this project are not suddenly “old news” because they’ve been raised before. They remain relevant because the project remains relevant—and the potential environmental impact certainly doesn’t come with an expiration date.
As for the “growing list of outrage these days,” I’ll leave the investigative work to you. There are, after all, plenty of local news outlets and community groups where you can satisfy your curiosity.
And finally, when I have a question for Scout regarding Scout’s project, I’ll direct that question to Scout. I don’t particularly need a non-Scout, non-local observer to explain which questions I should ask, how I should ask them, or whether they meet your preferred standard of specificity.
I’m quite comfortable asking the questions I believe are worth asking.
