I'm Ready for Another Big Announcement

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
We will show an updated Terra concept around September 7th. It features new paint, updated interior accents, and some new accessories and looks.

Since we are trying to launch not one, but two vehicles in a brand new factory, you can expect that it is likely we will launch with one model first, more limited trim/model options, and other items will have a delayed introduction. This is normal when spooling up a brand-new factory where we want to ensure a quality product and not overwhelm the production process. This kind of thing will always disappoint a few people, but we think it is important that we be as transparent as possible so expectations can be set. All that said, we will work as many options, trims and models in as we can while still maintaining quality. All of these decisions are being made right now as we negotiate with suppliers and sort out timelines.

Pricing is on track at this point. The current regulatory environment, which has been changing virtually every week, has caused some delays and made things a bit chaotic, particularly for suppliers. We are navigating this and will continue to push hard.

The repainted and rethemed Traveler will make an appearance in late September as well.

So overall, there are a million things all going on at once but everything is still moving along nicely. :D

Any possible way for me to delay this? Lol

I’m very excited and hopefully we see the Terra with a nice gloss color to show off those body lines!

Also, not sure if feasible, but would be nice once orders open to be able to get a baseline for what’s not included, but planned as things get ramped up. If the difference is 6M for a specific set of features/trim that I really want, I may wait or not, but having some sort of idea will at least let me make a reasonably informed purchasing decision.

Definitely, when the day comes the build your Scout vehicle online tool goes live. If it included ALL options/accessories but maybe a bit different font or opaque for the stuff that's not available yet. And then a rough timeline for the options you chose. Even something vague like Q3 2027 or something would be really cool.

A video walk-through maybe ?? 🤞
Would love to see how android auto is incorporated or the built in navi app....
My daughter has been asking me how the view looks from the backseat lol. I dunno if I've seen that angle anywhere yet.
Hello. My husband took these pictures at Nats. If you would like Terra pics let me know and I’ll see what we have.

Not a new interior, but a good photo of it from an angle I had not seen before - looks much nicer than the side photos of the same one. Little bit of an odd mix. The wood and leather looks fairly premium - but then the floors look carpet-less, work truck. Don't recall the back seat buttons either - but it is just that the angle of the photo shows them well.

Those pictures are some of the one my husband took when we went to Nats. I posted a lot of them on my Nats thread. Those two are over there plus lots more.

Thank you so much for sharing these details Jamie! Should we be expecting some sort of Launch Edition type of situation where for a decent bit of time after launch the only options available are basically a package that includes all options?

I’m just trying to gauge whether Scout Motors will be introducing the top tier models only for a decent stretch of time before finally trickling down to more affordable models as we’ve seen done in the past by other manufacturers. I’m assuming this is something that either hasn’t been fully nailed down or simply can’t be shared yet, but you never know for sure until you ask. Who knows, maybe Scout will do something different. :)

Jamie did post the other week that all options may not be available at launch (which is typical) but hoping enough “stuff” is available to appeal to the masses
