How would you build your Scout?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Behold! THE BUMBLE BEE

  • Terra Harvester, just as you see it above. Though after a lot of research here and other places I’m feeling real comfortable with the BEV.
  • 33” pizza cutter tires of some description.
  • Black aero wheels if they don’t look too clunky.
  • I think the rear tire carrier would look great on this tho its not a deal breaker.
  • Don’t need dif. Lockers or sway bar disconnect.
  • Don’t really care about heated/cooled seats/steering wheel—unless they are not extra.
  • I like the interior of the concept Terra.
  • Rubber floor mats but still with a nice carpet underneath.
  • Bench seat w/folding console.
  • Rear opening window.
  • No skimping on the displays and software. I’d like to be able to completely customize the look and organization of all informational displays. Particularly for driving parameters. I’m thinking of the principle of first order of retrieval.
  • The ability to slave an iPad to the display for extra screen if I like. And the ability to move screen modules on and off of the iPad as well.
  • A full set of quality charger adapters, and a level I/II charger for emergencies.
  • I like the existing understated bumper and tow hook set up.
  • Probably a steel roof but if there is a good thermal mitigating glass available that would be awesome.
  • Not sure about a roof rack tho i like the idea of a light bar and mount for a starlink.
  • Premium sound system; maybe.
  • Some kind of unobtrusive slider/step, not a power fold out. Those seem like a smash magnet.

It should be apparent that i wont be doing much if any off-roading (though that is not completely ruled out.) i’ve had to think long and hard about WHY I want this Scout. It’s a nostalgia thing, but it needs to be useful too.
I forgot the tonneau cover, trailer brake controller, and possibly a camera over each wheel, on the axle plane, pointed straight down to show me exactly where the edge is a shelf road.
