February 2026 Scout Production Center Update

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Thanks Jamie. We all here needed this today! I know it’s only a CAD drawing but Scouts on the line! I love it!

Clearly a hint that solid-roof models will be the first on the production line. Glad I'm getting a solid roof! :ROFLMAO:

I wanted orange, but that green looks quite nice too.

Oh for goodness sake we are all going to be looking for Easter Eggs everywhere.

Funny the roof would actually make me wait for a later build. I want the BEV but never having had a BEV I would go with an EREV if the wait is going to be too long, but i absolutely do not want a solid roof. Glass first choice, cabana second. So if all that’s available at launch is solid I would definitely wait to build my Scout.

I'm a vampire, so...

Actually, I just have very light-colored eyes that are a lot more sensitive to light than most. No open roof, 20% tint all around (most I can do legally here). It's also why I'm hoping we have a true 0-100% control over dashboard lighting and the ability to turn off all screens at night. I keep my dash at 5% illumination or so and turn all screens off at night to drive, otherwise my pupils restrict and I can't see crap outside of the vehicle.

I wear super dark mirrored sunglasses because my eyes are super sensitive too but I can’t be driving in a cave.

Gonna guess light blue eyes? I struggle too but sunglasses help me enough and I love a well lit car

Great factory update Jaime, and its so awesome to see the training center is nearly ready!

But I got to say the stepped rear floor of this Traveler is quite interesting looking. One concern I have immediately is the height of the load floor, (much like the new land cruiser hybrid pictured below) and how much cargo space will be sacrificed.

The drawing is clearly a "body in white" level of completion so it looks like whether its Harvester or BEV the structure could be the same. Therefore, unless its an optical illusion there is one heck of a difference in height with the floor section.

That was a huge turn-off for me when I first saw the new LC in person. It really looked like they'd already designed the vehicle and decided after the fact that they wanted to add a battery. The load floor does look high in the Travelers in pictures though, but it looks well-integrated if production stays true to the prototypes. Either way, if they're sticking an engine underneath there, I wouldn't expect a low floor height.

On the bright side it does look like there is going to be amazing legroom!

Curious though have you seen any of the concepts in person?

Sadly, no. I'm good at taking pictures, combining them with Scout's published vehicle sizes and scaling things though! I'm short, so leg room and head room are never an issue for me in most any vehicle. Loading crap into a cargo area can be a problem for me though. Getting a stubborn 100-lb dog into the back might also be an issue for me because I don't want to lift that sack of potatoes.

Get a dog ramp. I know people have even asked for some sort of a built in ramp.

This dog is too stupid to use a ramp, or stairs for that matter. A single step is acceptable to him, no more. He literally answers to "Stupid" now. Sweet dog, but the brain cells skipped this one. :ROFLMAO:

Here’s some pictures my husband took at Nats last year. Also if someone needs more width in the front we have the bench option and not having that drivetrain bump makes it feel much roomier as well.

Can't wait for the bench seat!

I hadn't noticed the lighting around the sunroof perimeter before. Was that just for display purposes, or was that actually part of the truck??
