Factory Pick Up - Cost and what does it include?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
If you plan to do a factory pick up and then travel North to Northwest, consider spend some time or spending the night at one of our local campgrounds. For example:

The side benefit is you can recharge your Scout at a reserved campsite (50 Amps) while you enjoy the local POIs. Three nearby lakes, Jocassee, Keowee and Hartwell. There are also several off-road trails nearby.

It was not uncommon to see several Scouts in this county back in the day. It was a popular vehicle for the area... the good ole days. Hope to see a lot of new Scouts come through on their way home from Blythewood.

Great plug and that will be a great opportunity for visitors. I’m very said before I’m headed to @LastDayScout ’s house in Charleston and maybe south toward the base for shrimp burgers then north toward PA. Maybe we turn it into a week long trip and stop in NC and VA along the coast.

Oh I had an idea for something we need during our factory pick up experience. You know how Disney has the Kodak Picture spots all over the park. The plant needs those. Spots where you can get pictures taken with cool stuff in the background and we aren’t blocking the flow of traffic so to speak.
It would be really cool if you could follow your scout through the factory as it’s being built and take pictures!

I know - what am I smoking…
:-)

I could see captures at various stages in the assembly process. I probably wouldn't sit around watching it.
Exactly. My thoughts too. And honestly once the get one of every general type they could be canned photos😀 but seeing them with the date would be cool and what would be unique is captures of vehicle when in the accessories department

How about a livestream. Like the panda cam at the zoo.

i feel like it wouldn’t be that hard to stand up a little vehicle tracker with updates as it runs through the production line. Like when you order a pizza and you get little updates about the order.
Production on your Scout has started.
Your Scout is off to Paint
Etc.
