Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
$100 res still holds position so just leave it in place for a few years and if not a launch vehicle-hold out a year or two and get a new color, etc…. Heaven forbid they announce a new Honda S2K and that will be my purchase and I’ll likely delay a scout purchase -perm I have other plans in motion as well
You can’t leave us J!

Thinking about that quote, I can’t help but think about the R2. So they said Spring of 2026, well I read an article a bit ago that employees are getting them in April and consumer deliveries are this summer.

Their timeline makes me think employees will get them late 2027 and then we all will start getting them early 2028.

Ive been in the long haul since the launch of the return in 2022. Im just looking for more transparency. Which i thought we were getting, when they updated their email system. But seems thats false.

I don't know too many manufacturers directly talking to their customers like we do here. That's about as transparent as it gets. :D

We are not going to send an email every time a publication posts a rumor about Scout. These websites out there have told us directly anything they write about Scout gets them traffic. So even the littlest rumor gets traction.

If there are any delays, we obviously want to give concrete information - not another best guess that leads to another delay. There are some major milestones happening later this year with validation builds and factory targets. We will know more closely when each model will specifically launch as we get closer.

I will belive the 2028 delivery when they let e lowly civilian sit in their precious concept truck....
They have let “civilians” sit in the concepts, but you don’t seem to understand these are the equivalent of muti-million dollar art projects, you don’t pay to visit a museum and expect to touch or interact with every piece on display. These are one of a kind and cost too much to just build a fleet of, not to mention how impractical that would be given they’re not a final design.

On top of the aforementioned fact that these concept vehicles are fragile and not designed for people to climb in and out of regularly (meaning thousands of people at events), they are also close approximations of final dimensions. The seats are fixed and not adjustable on the concepts as well.

Sorry, you will have to wait for early production vehicles before you can really make a good determination that the vehicle will fit you. Good news is that there will be early production vehicles out touring and at our retail locations that people can sit in, slam doors, move the seats, adjust the seat height and rake, adjust the rear view and side mirrors and overall figure out if it all works for you. If we could magically make it happen sooner, we would love to. :D

Thanks for the clarification Unc! Nice to hear that we will be getting more later in the year
