Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Yo, Big J/Uncle Jamie

Whats happening with this delay I'm hearing about? Is it true? Or is this some VWAG Dealership paid fake news?
These kind of articles? I am also curious if this is exaggerated, stuff we already knew, or the most realistic timeline. I am willing to wait, I want my Traveler "Harvey" but still love my Bronco. Just curious and bored lol.

Jamie posted the other day in response to this that there were no changes on their end.

I think we all just have to realize that this is going to keep happening. This info is out there in these unsourced articles so now the search engines and the AI program are going to pull it into their answers.

During a conference on April 7 on China’s automotive policies, BYD Group’s chief scientist, Lian Yubo, acknowledged that all-solid-state EV batteries have reached a “critical stage.” However, challenges remain as the new tech moves to mass production.

After a series of “breakthroughs” earlier this year, BYD is expected to begin producing sulfide-based all-solid-state batteries in limited batches in 2027 while ramping up to mass production around 2030.

I am very suspect with this video. I believe he didn't even differentiate Terra Bev from Terra Harvester. I am over worrying about release of the Terra BEV. If its delayed I will liklely be able to pay in full and maybe even afford a top model with max range. Also like others have said the kinks will liklely be worked out with the Harvester models. Maybe even pick up a used Riv RT in the meantime.

While I think a delay would suck, I'm currently not in a position where I need to worry about replacing my current vehicle so I can wait. Obviously things can change between now & then, and I'd like my Traveler sooner rather than later, but Faith & Patience© is working so far.

I don't believe it. It's not transparent enough what Jamie said. That means nothing. It could be an issue on a suppliers end

Believe him or don’t, up to you. There’s nothing nefarious here. This is all part of a start up and we are all just along for the ride and we can choose to step off at anytime. Me, I’m in it for the long haul.

I reached out directly to the editor that printed the production timeline on AutoForecast Solutions, asking for comment and whether his reporting was based on supplier data or simply aggregating media speculation. No response....yet
Thanks for that! Let us know if you hear anything, please and thank you.

Jamie is an employee, they can only say what they’re allowed to, but I do agree the best thing scout could do is get out ahead of things, if there’s any chance of a real delay, we should know, not be told we’re all good then get told otherwise in a month or so. I’m here for the long haul, but at some point we need to know what’s happening, and transparency makes that ride smoother even if it takes longer

Ive been in the long haul since the launch of the return in 2022. Im just looking for more transparency. Which i thought we were getting, when they updated their email system. But seems thats false.

$100 res still holds position so just leave it in place for a few years and if not a launch vehicle-hold out a year or two and get a new color, etc…. Heaven forbid they announce a new Honda S2K and that will be my purchase and I’ll likely delay a scout purchase -perm I have other plans in motion as well
