Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
It is not terrible. I can sort of see through the concept stuff to the core product and it will probably be pretty good. With as fast as the Koreans bring vehicles to production this may be out before Scout.
No it’s not terrible and the Hyundai dealer by me is actually pretty decent, but I’m still all in on Scout.

I read this this morning. Nothing like a good purge and reset. This mass event will go a long way toward getting EVs in more consumer's hands. Overall, it will be a good thing. @SpaceEVDriver did a chart a few days ago of when cars met and overmatched horses per capita. I wonder what the price of horses did shortly after 1920. I assume they fell off like a rock and then levelled out to a new normal.

Okay also a midsize pickup based on this thing.

A buddy of mine would love to own a Lucid Air.

He’s leasing a Kia EV6 right now, and the lease ends in June. The residual on the EV6 is more than it would cost to buy a bottom-priced Air with the same number of miles on it.

Oh I like it, but there’s no way they are going to make it look like that. It drives my husband nuts when a company shows a concept and then the production model looks nothing like it. It’s going to end up looking like a Tucson/Palisades.
I don't know.

I actually think that we're likely to get something relatively similar to the concept.

Based entirely on feels, and not on data, I'd say that Hyundai has been one of the companies that has both a lot of out there concepts... but then, also a lot of the concepts actually stay close to concept when they reach production. They also don't have a "this is what all of our vehicles look like" corporate identity, so they end up with very different looking vehicles like the Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6, or the most recent generations of Santa Fe.

I wouldn't be surprised if what we get looks like this, but on 32's instead of 37's, and with less "accessory bling".

It will be interesting to see that’s for sure.

I like the lack of a big screen and all sorts of odd ball whatchmacallits. I don’t know if I would like it in real life, but my first reaction is, “dang, that’s a lot of cool looking knobs”

The Chevy Volt was like that. The concepts were angular & futuristic and different looking when it debuted, but by the time the production model came out it had been design-by-committeed to death and was just a big ole BLAH.

If Hyundai does make this, I don’t think it’s gonna look like the concept.

If Hyundai built this Jeep and Bronco would take a serious hit. Amazing looking concept, and given how much Hyundai is willing to push eccentric design there is a chance of it having a strong resemblance. Either that or it will come out looking like a VehiCROSS type of thing. :ROFLMAO:

P.S. No offence to "all" the VehiCROSS owners out there.

Plus Hyundai’s have a 10 year powertrain warranty, much better than Jeep and Ford.
