Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Saw that the Rivian/VW JV just unlocked another payment milestone with the completion of winter testing in various VW vechicals including the Scout. @Jamie@ScoutMotors is there any insight Scout is planning to share regarding how that testing went?
Ill give you the update:

- EV platform scouted the weather with no issues.
- Rivian pulled the stick out of their a** about that they couldn't make the zonal architecture work with a EREV
- EREV is EREVing.

Your welcome.🙏🏻

I am SO tired of all trucks (and more and more SUVs) branding their ass end with huge tramp stamps. I typically debadge my vehicles though, so I might be biased.
Come on…….show us your tramp stamp ……..😂. Assume you mean the entire tailgate, though to be fair that’s been around for ages if you think about all the old trucks that had manes stamped into the tailgate sheet metal

Mainly just the HUGE make or model letters across the rear end. You're correct, there's historical precedent though, whether I like it or not.

Judge rules CNCDA lawsuit against Volkswagen, Scout can proceed

Disappointing.
Dealers won’t get my money either way.

If I buy a Scout, it’ll be through direct sale. If I can’t do that, I’ll buy a used Scout through Carvana or I’ll suck up my dislike of Rivian’s war on physical interfaces and buy a used Rivian or a used Lucid Gravity. I’m entirely done with dealerships.

I can’t stand dealers around here that put the name of the dealer on the back. I have told them all when we were purchasing they did that, the deal was over.
Some dealers have it in the contracts you sign that they're required to remove those stickers if you ask, but a heat gun (or a hot day) and a soft scraper (or credit card) they tend to come right off

Completely agree, is scout ends up a dealers, I'll look for a used Silverado or jump straight to Rivian, dealerships can kick rocks, especially with how they've treated us here

The only way I would even consider it is if it was like the way my friend ordered her BMW. She went to the dealership, clicked all the boxes, and they built it to her specs. Then I would just pick it up at the factory. But if there’s any kind of dealer markup or ridiculousness nope nope nope. Not happening.
