I do not like this at all. That said, I wonder if Polaris or CanAm were the maker and not Hyundai, would people have a different opinion. It IS!!!
This was from the LA Auto Show and they drove it onto the stage!
Shudder.

I think it’s very polarizing. Your either love it or hate itI do not like this at all. That said, I wonder if Polaris or CanAm were the maker and not Hyundai, would people have a different opinion.
Here are some press photos I have of it
That interior is all wrong. It doesn’t match the exterior at all.I don't think I can unsee it. Especially the interior! HELP!
The small squirkle steering wheel and weird straps holding the dash up really threw me for a loop. That interior is all wrong. It doesn’t match the exterior at all.
That’s exactly what my thought was too. Except I would still dislike it. But then I don’t like Polaris or CanAm vehicles either.I do not like this at all. That said, I wonder if Polaris or CanAm were the maker and not Hyundai, would people have a different opinion.
Probably none but they are never going to make it so who cares. Throw weird cables and sh** all over the thing. The small squirkle steering wheel and weird straps holding the dash up really threw me for a loop.
Completely unsure of the high-tension line or cable running from the hood to the rack, what purpose does that serve?

Well I highly doubt it will drive on a road let alone a trail. Honestly these car companies.I don’t know what it serves on this concept vehicle.
Such cables—when installed properly and in the right places—can protect the vehicle, its windshield, and other gear from low-hanging tree branches and brush that cover the trail. But most concept vehicles with these cables have them in nonsense places and it’s clear the designer doesn’t understand their purpose. In the case of the Crater concept vehicle, for example, the cables direct tree branches and brush to the expensive lights on the roof, so that’s an “interesting” design decision.
Our preference for the replacement of our Mustang, when the sad time comes (obviously it will have to be a BEV):Well I highly doubt it will drive on a road let alone a trail. Honestly these car companies.
Today I saw Genesis tease a G90 wagon. Like an actual wagon. Drove it out on stage and everything. Bet they won’t make that either.
Yes! That was exactly why I asked. In the case of the Crater concept vehicle, for example, the cables direct tree branches and brush to the expensive lights on the roof, so that’s an “interesting” design decision.
I wonder if it’s where you tie up your kites so you can recharge during a lightning storm.Yes! That was exactly why I asked.
But maybe we're overthinking it and its a clothesline for camping.![]()
I've received at least one photo of the Scout from my buddy attending the event, but its nothing people haven't seen before (straight on view of the Traveler).Anything from Scout Yet? Like any presentations or anything?
Big question, has he met Uncle Scotty yet?I've received at least one photo of the Scout from my buddy attending the event, but its nothing people haven't seen before (straight on view of the Traveler).
So they're definitely out/at the show.
I don't know why Wagons are so rare here, I really like them as well. Back when I lived in the UK I had a Golf R Wagon which I loved. Nice and fast and loads of room in the back. I know they made the Golf Wagon here (although I barely ever see any) but they never released the Golf R in Wagon version in the USA.Our preference for the replacement of our Mustang, when the sad time comes (obviously it will have to be a BEV):
The Scout makes the list at #3. There aren’t (m)any options at #1 or #2, which makes us sad.
- Minivan with about 8 inches of clearance
- Wagon with about 8 inches of clearance
- SUV with about 8 inches of clearance
Yeah-again-I hate the interior. But the outside has a lot of Mad Maxx Fury road potentialI don't think I can unsee it. Especially the interior! HELP!
As I said. Mad Max worthy-Mad Max approved. How else to you keep YOUR guitar player attached - DUH!!!!The small squirkle steering wheel and weird straps holding the dash up really threw me for a loop.

I keep wishing I’d get an invite to SM design center but I suspect our hard core brutal honesty about design has them scared to hear all the things we might sayI don’t know what it serves on this concept vehicle.

That’s my favorite critique thus farI wonder if it’s where you tie up your kites so you can recharge during a lightning storm.
Well somebody better step up and start sharing the wealth. @cyure gonna hulk out soon. And I know with a couple of the NYC photos I got a peak of there’s a few surprises (small) but anxious to see them executedI've received at least one photo of the Scout from my buddy attending the event, but its nothing people haven't seen before (straight on view of the Traveler).
