True that’s likely what they would do and I’m all for it.even a web application thats sent to reservation holder to look at the possible colors on Terra Or Traveler. Since they are probably using unreal engine for the software.

Are the colors that the scum of the earth are showing ScoutEVForum “most reliable source for scout” lmfao. Are they even close to the real colors being worked on? Because they seem way far off.We already use Unreal Engine (and others) for renders, and we have a power wall at our design center where we can display the vehicles full-size in any environment we like, day or night.
Our color, materials, finish (CMF) team has a full IH CT399 color sample book (thanks to John Glancy) and has been experimenting with a variety of modern takes on retro colors. Nothing to announce yet, but we will definitely have some show and tell in the future.

Thank you Jamie! Super pumped to hear about the colors when y’all are ready. We already use Unreal Engine (and others) for renders, and we have a power wall at our design center where we can display the vehicles full-size in any environment we like, day or night.

20 different sprays!!! The dedication that Scout Motors has is amazing!Easy now. No need to give them a hard time.
One or two may be similar to some we have been looking at, but honestly, there must be at least a hundred different spray panels collecting at this point. Even a shade of silver or gold, for example, might require more than 20 different small spray-out variations on metal panels that can be viewed in different light to see how they look.
I'll get our CMF team to start a topic about this as the behind the scenes is interesting and fun to talk about.
Jamie
I hear they’ll be released on the other forum first since they are the leading experts on all things Scout
That would be great! Also I agree with @THil08 on the 20 sprays!Easy now. No need to give them a hard time.

A new topic for paint discussion will be great. Can't wait.Easy now. No need to give them a hard time.

Especially getting to hear from the team on what they have been doing. Almost like what the Concept cars secret service guy did.A new topic for paint discussion will be great. Can't wait.
Please clarify what “modern take on retro colors” means. It sounds like NOT original colors. If so, fine, but I don’t understand the point of having similar to retro colors instead of actual retro colors. Modern paint formulation/ clear coat, sure but why change the color? Our color, materials, finish (CMF) team has a full IH CT399 color sample book (thanks to John Glancy) and has been experimenting with a variety of modern takes on retro colors. Probably adding some metallic to them. Flat colors are for some reason not a thing anymore which is a bit dumb since they are easy to fix if scratched since you don’t have to blend the metallic, and i only know this because i had a nasty scratch on my hood and i had to match the metallic. Please clarify what “modern take on retro colors” means. Does SM use On-set virtual production (OSVP) for rendering and background images? We already use Unreal Engine (and others) for renders, and we have a power wall at our design center where we can display the vehicles full-size in any environment we like, day or night.

I feel so bad for jamie. We ram him with questions about literally anything and everything.Does SM use On-set virtual production (OSVP) for rendering and background images?
True but he’s the best community manager/admin that I’ve ever seen.I feel so bad for jamie. We ram him with questions about literally anything and everything.

Rust will be a premium add-on.Retro colors without the rust?

We love Jamie and his thoroughness! Thanks Jamie! We haven't yet.
Retro colors in modern formulations. Some with metallic where the single stage paints didn't often have them. You'll see.
Rust will be a premium add-on.
It's all good.
Wait you guys actually took my idea of rust add-on to the paint that i brought up like last year??We haven't yet.
