it looks like the FWD is the trim that falls under $35k, still- not bad!

Honestly call me crazy but that doesn't seem like terrible pricing. Especially with the R2 (probably a larger vehicle as well) coming in the 45k + mark. Really sets the stage for R3 (please please happen) being in the 35k-50k price range

Funny enough I was in Palo Alto yesterday with my wife and decided to swing by the Rivian office. Lots of employees hanging out front, people arriving, parking lot full, offices you could see through the windows were packed with people. After swinging through the parking lot I was able snag a good view of the R2 in it's forest camo which my wife loved and said if she got one she'd want it with the camo wrap lol.

I'll be honest- not a huge fan of the forcing AI down our throat especially behind the wheel. Fingers crossed that Scout isn't planning on following suit given their generally more environmentally friendly disposition.
Nope, just the R2 in camo and a bunch of R1's that could potentially be software mules for VW Group products like Scout/VW/Audi/Porsche/Lambo. At this stage I wouldn't expect anything resembling a finished Scout anyway, more likely an engineering rig like this..

I’ll cut any vehicle with that kind of garbage off of my list of options.
The problem is that machine learning is an incredibly valuable tool for this kind of use. But I don’t trust the AI industry not to invade my privacy even more than is already happening.
It’s sad. We could have such good vehicles for lower prices but instead we keep having these companies cram garbage like this into everything. What happened to just making a good vehicle?
Not to mention how counter-intuitive it is.

If I wanted someone else to drive, I’d take the train or Greyhound or public transportation.
Even the Moke America (Chinese made), LSV version is $25-30k. And that is with AGM batteries, not lithium. I like them, but they are just too expensive. I see tons of them in Charleston.
Makes sense in beach communities and planned urban environments on the southern coastal shores
