CYURE GOES TO NC!! 9/26/26

Hey @cyure, @J Alynn, and @jdm111er.28078! I understand you'll all be at the NC event. Can one of you do me a huge solid if possible at all? Can on one of you get the actual step-in height for the trail-ready traveler? From the ground to the top of the floorboards/carpet. I know cyrue got an estimate from her phone, but I want the actual measurement so I can compare it to my '23 Silverado ZR2 that I had previously. That thing was a beast to get in and out of and I know the step in height on that. Generally curious about how they compare. I bet they are close. The Travelers with 35's look huge. It's not vital if it's not possible.

One of the things I tell everyone about these concepts is that the ride height isn't necessarily indicative of the actual production vehicles - especially depending on what trim and options you apply to yours. Likewise with the seats in the concept. They are fixed in place and don't have anywhere near the adjustments that the production vehicle will have.

So measure away in a very broad sense. But the concepts sit higher and have big wheels and tires (similar to an offroad package) so they look good. The production version will most likely sit a bit closer to the ground (offroad packages may sit a little more simliar to the concepts).

1. is this an all indoor or all outdoor or mix of both event?
2. Do we need a blanket or chairs like an outdoor music events?
3. I know it says “free”. Is everything free but Scout merch that’s for sale?
4. Any specific parking instructions? (I got my first parking ticket ever at the SC event. I don’t need to repeat that.)

Please don't cut the height down and turn it into just another EV. If I wanted a car, I would have already purchased one. Ford even cut the height of the Lightning. Which at least in Texas made most buyers just walk past it.

I agree whole heartedly! When I asked the question about the Traveler's step in height, that's exactly what I had in mind. It wasn't because I wanted it lower. It's because I want it to look more rugged and off-road like, want to maintain that height, and my Silverado ZR2 had the right look (just not the gas mileage, if you know what I mean). If I didn't want to maintain that, I'd just get another Rivian! I like the niche Scout is carving out.

I seem to remember they said an option for a lift and 35" tires would be available. So you will be able to get that height from the factory at a hopefully reasonable up-charge .

When I asked if the current Traveler was lifted, they stated “no, but it’s on an off-road setup”. Whatever that means.

What was the step-in height on that out of curiosity? I just measured my Toyota so I had some reference point, and it's right at 27" from ground to top of sill. That's comfortable enough with an A-pillar grab handle and my short self, but any more will be a problem.

I believe based on conversation at reveal they set the frame a bit higher on Protoss and affixed things on the prototype to give appearance but no lift kit or things we would typically do as aftermarket.

What was the step-in height on that out of curiosity? I just measured my Toyota so I had some reference point, and it's right at 27" from ground to top of sill. That's comfortable enough with an A-pillar grab handle and my short self, but any more will be a problem.

About 26". I'm 6'3" and never had a problem but others who were more ... vertically challenged struggled. I actually liked it because I could just slide in and out. No up or down and I'd like that again. My wife told me that if the Traveler is the same height, I need to get steps on it. BOO! Unless they electronic. Then YES!

YES! Totally 35's but with A/T, not the mud tires, for me. I'm a bit apprehensive about what the 35's will do to the overall range, but I had a Silverado Trail Boss that had tires from the factory that looked ridiculously small and it always irritated me. I'm not sure if Scout will "lower" the truck for 33's vs. 35's and if not, I can't do that again.

For those of you following along, you might notice a common theme here about what I like visually in my vehicles. Wrangler, Colorado ZR2, Silverado Trail Boss (they didn't have a ZR2 Silverado yet!), Silverado ZR2, and Rivian R1T. The R1T kinda sticks out like a sore thumb there, but that's why I'm getting the Traveler!!!

Similar and thats why I had so much difficulty finding a new car. Have to have a tire carrier and that really limited me. I’m hoping at some point we see 33 A/Ts on an 18”. I’m curious how that looks.
