CYURE GOES TO NATIONALS!!! Yay!!!

We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

    Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. This next picture it’s not so much about the Traveler but the two gentleman standing by the hood just smiling. I saw a lot of that at Nats. Just people standing there smiling at them. I know I had the same look on my face.

I don’t understand how a Scout fanatic who knows that Scouts were the original and the innovators could not smile at these machines. They honor the past from every angle. Yeah-there’s no V-8, get over it. Yeah, there isn’t round headlights but the lights do form a subtle rectangle like the bezels on the frame of the old headlights and is a subtle play on IH so again-get over it. The interiors are modern takes on the original and integrate what today’s buyers want in a family/connection machine so welcome all the buyers who aren’t IH scout legacy lovers.
I think in person you just have to smile. It’s a beautiful design and the proportions just scream Scout. Yeah-it’s a bit bigger but so is every other model that has evolved from their original debuts. Kudos SM!

It’s interesting. Having had Acuras and now a Honda -while on the center console area they went to a button/‘toggle’ approach years ago for P/R/N/D and everyone thought it was weird. I always liked it and now I don’t even think about it-it’s just natural. New things are always scary but having something next to the wheel is so much more convenient and it opens up all that space for storage or leg room (in the case of the Scout bench).

My question is, if you haven’t swung the tire carrier out of the way and hit that button does the Traveler know that and just not open?

Great question-I’m sure it will. Maybe top hatch will open if it clears the tire (hoping it does but guessing it won’t. Great observation
 
I’ve been thinking about what color I want my Scouts interior to be. I have all black now and it doesn’t show dirt which is great but there’s no contrast. I love the Traveler concept interior. The difference in colors and materials. I just don’t think I can do another 15 years of black interior.

Also, I really hope they keep the lighting element on the door.

Hello! I have a question. I was looking at this picture of the tire carrier from Nats. It has this panel on the back. It looks like it could be used to attach things too, however, you have to be able to close it and have it sit against the tailgate. Any idea what this is for forum friends?

You could hang a table or other items when stationary camping or tailgating or mobile workshop. Just wouldn’t be permanent attachments ???

The ones attached to the back of the seats, installed in the frunks and inside the Traveler rear compartment are dished and have a quick connect/disconnect feature for easy use. The one on the back on the tire carrier is not dished for easy hanging & bungee cording items, and it requires a tool to remove. I guessing it might just be structural, cool looking design que, or one of many parts hidden about the vehicle that come together and make something else useful. SWAG.
