New Years Resolutions 2025

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Happy last day of 2025 peeps! One year closer to getting our Scouts! I’m so excited that tomorrow we will be able to say “production starts next year”.

I decided to start a thread for our New Years Resolutions. They don’t have to be big. It’s whatever is important to you.

My goals this year are to move more and go more places. My husband keeps saying “you need to be in good shape for your Scout”. 😹

He’s right. I have a basement full of exercise equipment and there’s no excuse not to be down there doing something everyday even if it’s small. And there are so many things near and far that I keep saying I want to do, but haven’t done yet. So I’m going to start a journal of where I want to go and where I do go.

Hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year!

Awesome - good luck with all that you and your family accomplish in 2026 and beyond…

I’m gonna try and finish my house updates, deck mods, and dock mods.

Then I’ll try to fish more!

Fish more - make that one every year, generally fail, or technically succeed in a very unspectacular fashion. Fished once 2 years ago (caught 2 1/2 fish - shark got the other 1/2). Took my kayak and boat out a lot more this last year, but technically only had lines in the water for 2hrs (and caught 2 1/2 fish less - son caught a huge ladyfish though).

That said, should be able to finish, or mostly finish the garage for my Scout this year (4 months into new house build) - Solar might be slightly later.

Meeting with a different company to help figure out what my deck is going to be (meeting scheduled next week) - dock mods, those will not happen yet (have river property, but best I manage to do is occasionally keep it mowed so far). Company (single man company) I wanted to have build my fish camp retired - have not found another builder in my side of the state that does similar work yet (best I have found is a contractor that will raise the shell on an existing foundation - and not put the floor in (which is depressing, since the floor will be 8-10' in the air).

My resolution is:

- Fish Salt Water and my favorite fresh water Lakes, more this year. Which is hard to do because I'm a water and beach kid I'm constantly fishing and surfing.

- Continue to restore my 76' F150along with attend car shows.

- Redo my storage with some nice Sidio Crates. Since right now my truck is a mess with tools scattered in my tool box. Which isn't the smartest idea. Because every bounce is one super small microscopic fraction away from a chromium tool scattering.

Best of luck with all of it... Wow, lost 1/2 a fish to a shark! I lived in FL for 21 months and (luckily) never had that happen - did catch plenty of barracuda though. Nowadays in MI, Walleye and Musky are my catch - some perch but it's a lot of work for the meat!

As a joke, hooked the remaining 1/2 fish on a steel leader and caught the shark about 10 minutes later. Baby blacktip, so it got released. Ate the stingray though.

Would like to see the Scout in person, but I suspect it would have to be convenient for it to happen in 2026. I will go out of my way to see one when they are closer to production models (and maybe have an understanding of trim levels/options and their prices). But that might be 2027. Honestly, it would be be great to actually test drive one before changing the reservation to an order - but that might just be dreaming - and almost definitely 2027.
