What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Solar recharge is my dream. Perhaps a choice of cabana top or solar panels?? I’m thinking of a 5KwH battery, a 3,600-watt inverter and 800 watt solar panels that are in some RVS and camper vans.

Welcome to the forum. If you use the search command button and keyword ‘solar’ you will find lots of insight from members here on the forum. Enjoy your time

I hope it has a "Kill Switch" to shut down all the extra tech and just enjoy the car. Scouts used to drive by sound - the motor told you what gear to be in, up or down. Electric cars are spooky quiet. Nothing changes. As a driver, I also like the feeling of being a land yacht captain. If you have too much driver assist you will not build real human drivers and this Scout experiment will end up in the pile of could-have-beens. Is there an International Harvester Edition planned that comes with a plow attachment? Think about it.
Welcome.

I do believe there was a mention or photo with a snow plow attachment when they had the launch events last year.

Scout. “People. Connections. Community. Authenticity." Welcome to the Scout community. Enjoy the ride. 🛻 🚙
Remember the built in search on the forums is a great place to start getting answers to your many questions. 😀

not going to to lie... the GM "mid gate" seems like a an interesting feature especially for overlanding/truck camping. Could use the temperature controls when it's down. Also seems useful for longer items maybe a gate flip up stopper.

Welcome.

Some of us are hoping for a mid gate or drop down step like Fords have.

It will be rough trying to get things in and out of the offroad models on 35”s without one.

I agree. If GM had a pano shade, lighter interior color choices, especially headliner, CarPlay and better Dashcam/Mobile Connectivity, I think their EV Offering is great with the Midgate and multi tailgate.

It’s a massive amount of money not to get those improvements that match Tesla or Rivian.

GM finally has lowered the price a bit for the 1LT on Offer but no EREV. I think GM has now included a pano shade for the 2026 model year after customer desire has been reconsidered. RST is being discontinued.

Yeah, their interiors are lacking, but the trucks are pretty damn solid and have range for days. That being said, as fun as the hummer is it's too damn heavy and wide for me.

Which reminds me. @Jamie@ScoutMotors pleeeeease don't force piping in fake engine noise. I had a silverado EV from enterprise while my R1T was in to service for a checkup and their fake noise made me nauseous. I went from giving the truck a 7/10 to a 1/10

Standard VAG layout of controls. Wiper controls on right. Etron is pretty good.
Also , I like the spare being inside as opposed to on tailgate. Maybe under the hood.
Removeable hardtop.
