If I'd known the event was gonna be this big, I probably would've bailed on the kid's annual tournament.
Scout will probably make this an annual thing, on the same day as the kid's tournament every year. That'd be my luck...

So, my husband got me behind the camera this trip. I always take pictures of him taking pictures whenever we go. Well this time it was me for part of the day!

And then I got a picture of him talking to @Jamie@ScoutMotors while some of us forum members were working on something with @Hedges1.

We had a bit of a role reversal this event. It was fun!

Plenty of years for sports. Not so many for Scouts-just have to prioritize

Yeah. I'm in a similar situation. One of my grand-kid's birthday will probably be celebrated on that Saturday each year. Maybe I'll suggest we move the party to Charlotte! He really likes trucks and would be fascinated!

When he’s old enough you make it a special grandpa/grandson event. I lost my grandfather 40 years ago but have great memories of the times I’d spend with him every summer. It was a cool event and while I had never heard of the band-The Record Company but huge fan now.

If they are a car kid they will love it. My youngest is a car kid. When he was 5 we gave him the options of Legoland or visiting a friends mechanic shop. He picked the car mechanic. He got a tour and came home with a bunch of car parts. One was a brake rotor and a bunch of other things. He was in heaven!

This next activity was the only one, as far as I was concerned, that was a little bit of a miss.

You could make your own “sun-developed picture”. So they had different cutouts, and you would put them on photo paper with leaves and flowers and then they had to sit in the sun for 5 minutes. Then they would be put in developing solution for a period of time. Then they had to dry.

They were only doing 2 at a time and they really weren’t turning out all that well. After about 20 minutes I just left it because it was time to meet Jamie.

There were multiple pit masters and boy they had some long lines when they were serving BBQ.

There were two stages setup for the bands. During the day this smaller stage had different acts playing near the activities and food.

When I was waiting for my picture to develop that didn’t I heard something overhead.

NOTE: This is an SM drone. Don’t anyone get any ideas.

The smoothie trailer! They were really good smoothies.

I love the event space they picked. Industrial yet with lots of green space, trees and native plants.

After our activities it was time to move u to the event space.

There was a little bit of a line to get through the door.

The building was a very large old manufacturing plant. They had displays setup right as you walked in the door.

The Scouts were on one side and there was a large empty space on the other.

Mountainside was the first concept as you get tomatoes display boards. She’s not my build but I can certainly appreciate her beauty.
