From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.
Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.
How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

I reserved a Traveler Harvester over 1.5 years ago, but just now joining the talk group...very excited about the ability to utilize the gas engine module as a redundant feature (also happy it's not part of the drive train...but more like an onboard battery charger). Also just learning that this may be a solid state battery, which I surmise will be less impacted by climate conditions...for me that means less battery depleting due to the cold Maine winter weather.
Still not sure when/or where we can do test drives, then sort out the add-on components and of course take delivery.

If you search solid state there’s lots of discussion on that particular topic. Don’t mean to disappoint, but the consensus is that they have been testing batteries in the Scouts for quite a while and Solid State batteries aren’t far enough along in development to make it into our Scouts. Maybe someday.

Welcome aboard and thanks for sharing your thoughts. Nobody will have competent SS batteries by launch but since system is relatively modular at some point when mass production works, Scout will be able to add them as an option

I chose the Traveller electric. In going electric, I wanted to not have to do maintenance on the gas engine.

Just reserved a Terra BEV. Probably an unpopular take, but I don't want to be saddled with an ICE. We are an all-EV household and it works for us.
Congrats on the res and welcome to community! It's not an unpopular take at all, and some would argue you are ahead of the curve because a lot of us think that eventually the Harvester will lead to full EV adoption. In fact, I own a Rivian R1T and I love it, but I will be getting the BEV Traveler when it releases.
