  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Hi Peeps! We are very excited for our trip to North Carolina. Based on some shenanigans on Instagram and Facebook it would appear I need to be more explicit in my watermark. Let me know which one you all think is more effective at directing people to this forum or if you have a different idea let me know that too.

Appreciate you all.

These are mature but can see the other person posting anyway.
I think something more like
“Visit real scoutmotors.com” Force them to do more work

Just FYI but snipped photo you posted then ran through Gemini-prompt attached. It took 15 seconds. I know it annoys you but you may be making more work for yourself

Oh I know it can be taken off, but it makes me feel better to start that way. Honestly it’s even easier, just crop it right off.

I do post a few pictures from events on my Instagram page, and I think it would be easier to have the watermark say where to find Scout Motors rather than have to put it into my comments each time.

I like visit, that’s why I asked for ideas. Thanks.

I'm not a lawyer, but I'm guessing that there are very serious infringement violations if / when another forum, site or web property FACILITATES the infringement that is occurring, or allows it to happen. In other words, there is real responsibility for whoever is hosting the other site. I have not been there, don't intend to go there, but based on what you have said they are doing, there could be malfeasance (using a lawyer-like term)

I’m just little old me, and yes it annoys me to no end, but the thing that annoys me even more is that they are pretending to be SM.

Just yesterday the copied the SM picture from
Harvesters in the Holler and one of their comments to someone was that SM has more than 300,000 reservations. Now that’s not a number we have heard publicly from SM. Now either they are pulling that number out of their a** or that’s an internal number not for public consumption. Either way it’s not right and whoever you are we don’t appreciate you doing what you are doing. 🤬
