From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.
Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. Big question here. I’m assuming the numbers next to these cities indicate the order of when Scout will sell and service. Correct me if I’m wrong but, not only when you’ve reserved a Scout but, where you’re located will also indicate when you’ll get your vehicle? Thanks in advance
I don’t think we know that for a fact. For example, Ontario is number 1, and I didn’t think Canadian deliveries were going first.
There’s lots of factors that will affect when we get our deliveries. When we placed our order. What model, BEV or EREV. Someone may have placed a first hour reservation but want an option or a color that may not be offered at launch and choose to wait.
My husband and I have discussed this many times. There’s a desire to go first, but I don’t want to sacrifice what I want to go first. I have a list of must haves and if I have to wait a little longer then I wait a little longer to get what I want.
Well stated, thank you. I’m concerned that many people will only buy a Scout to then immediately sell it for profit. Don’t some car companies have a no resell period of time to prevent this issue?
If they do they do. I really don’t think there’s a way to stop it.
If the R2 is an example of that that didn’t workout for the people trying to flip them. They basically got what they paid. I think those early Cybertruck flips, where people paid double the price or more and now they aren’t worth near that, made people think twice. I really really want one, but there’s no way I would pay more than retail.
Some have tried but hope that doesn’t happen either. I guess if people buy and others are dumb enough to pay a premium to get an early one the shame on one or both parties. I have no intent to sell mine but if I got an early order and someone walked up and offered $15K over sale price I’d probably consider it. But would never purchase with intent to flip. Also hoping the direct sales model reduces a bunch of that nonsense along with dealer mark ups

Here are a couple of the front seat. I really like the rails it’s on, but I know it been mentioned that due to safety and cost those may not make it exactly as they are. I sure do like them though.
Oh and I have to have power seats and a power steering wheel would be nice too. I know, I know, but my son drove the Wrangler while we were gone and I don’t have power anything but windows and he adjusted my seat and steering wheel and I’ve been driving myself crazy trying to get them back where I like them.

First up. Pedals. SM even carried the tartan pattern through to the pedals. I did not notice this the other two times I saw them.
It’s the attention to detail that makes me so happy when I see them. I’m hoping this is a detail that makes it to production. I know it’s small and it’s down by our feet, but sports cars get racing pedals. A Scout deserves distinctive pedals.

Double stitching! I imagine details like this will be on the highest trim level.
Closeup of the Jerry can and hinge area. I know there’s been talk of making the tire carrier removable. SM has indicated that won’t be the case and we will either be able to order with or without the tire carrier. Seeing these hinges it makes sense why the tire carrier wouldn’t be intended to be removable. That’s a heck of a hinge.
