There's a mod for the JK headrest that reverses the forward rake. Not sure exactly what's involved, but didn't seem too overly complicated from I've seen on the forums over the years.

So this might be a little bit more niche but going from the Bolt to the blazer one thing software wise that the Bolt did that I really did prefer was when it finished charging it reset what was essentially a “trip B” essentially to zero. For a little bit more context on that in the center cluster, you had a single trip option to reset for mileage tracking and then in the Main entertainment there is your energy section which showed your breakdown from your last complete charge. Whatever you have your charge level peak set to is where it resets when it hits it and it will show every kilowatt you’ve driven every mile and the breakdown on how those kilowatts were spent since that last complete charge. as someone who does freelance work and can be very forgetful having that was very nice because it would also flash on the screen before the entertainment shut off after the vehicle was powered down. In the blazer, it has a trip a trip B and a dedicated this trip, but this trip is specifically from when the vehicle initiates power on until it turns itself off, which, if you don’t hit the keep vehicle running every time you put it in park it will turn off and reset so in order for me to track my work mileage on any given day. I have to remember to reset trip B in the morning or when I get home but since this is also a personal vehicle, it does get extra mileage sometimes after I’m home so the morning is the best but relying on my memory is not. So I guess the feature I would love to see is a between complete charge breakdown along with your typical trip tracker and this trip if applicable.
Interesting. Tesla automatically tracks "since last charge" as well as "this drive" and then has 2 trip meters that you can reset whenever you want.
I know scout going to have to try and please or appease a lot of people when it comes to their first vehicles as they will have many people coming from both electric and ice. As someone who has driven EVs for a couple years now and the large amount of that time has been in a 22 bolt with the other portion being Rivian EDVs for Amazon. I have gotten use to one pedal and personally prefer one pedal over not having it. That said, there is something GM did with the Blazer EV that I do not like about their one pedal mode and that is when you put the car in reverse. You don't have it. I've gotten used to full one pedal forward and reversing and not having the option for it makes me feel a little bit unsafe because when I give it a tiny amount of acceleration to get it out of hold it lurches backwards and I have to stomp the break. As we've talked about many times across this forum options are a good thing and if scout can at least offer the option for how and where your one pedal is available, that would be good. And from the little bit of research I did according to GM the reason for removing one pedal from reversing has to do with safety. But I feel much less safe with having to tap the accelerator and then immediately get on the break just to back up on an inch
We are annoyed that 1pd is missing in reverse on the Silverado too.
I don’t understand what we do differently, but when my partner drives and puts it in reverse it rolls pretty much effortlessly they can just hover over the brake pedal. I have to tap the accelerator every time to get it going, and it just lurches so hard I don’t understand how removing one pedal from reverse makes it safer because at least in one pedal once you’re used to it or if it is what you prefer for going forward having all of your break and acceleration in a simple up-and-down motion with your foot is to me anyway the safer option.
And just in case there is anyone that reads this that doesn’t understand the more you depress the pedal the more acceleration the more you let off the more break when you let off fully full break.
So it’s a very least in my opinion full one pedal forward and reverse is the safer option. Whoa this is news. I test drove a '26 Equinox EV and I didn't notice anything weird about reverse (but it was a pretty short test drive). I know there were big changes starting with the '25 model year, any chance they fixed it in the later version?
Hard to say personally, we didn't test the 25 they had on the lot. I haven't looked much into it though. There is one part about it that makes it very annoying. More so than just not having one pedal in reverse while having the vehicle in one pedal. But when you put it in reverse, the one pedal button moves under the reverse camera as if it's meant to be there for you to turn it off and on depending on your preferences for reversing
I don’t know how common “auto tipping” mirrors are, where they aim down when you put the vehicle in reverse, I’ve only been in three vehicles that did it or at least had it turned on, and the blazer has options for L, R, or both and for some vehicles it’s great to be able to see the wheels when reversing, but I’ve noticed all of them seem to “return” after 30 seconds whether your done reversing or not, so if scout offers this it could be nice to have toggles on the screen with backup camera
The Supra (BMW) and all of my BMWs did that and stayed until you went forward. I would like my Scout to do that.
I think an on screen toggle would give the best of both, with the optional down and up based on what your actively doing, like backing in my garage down the entire time, but parking lots and trails sometimes normal is better just very situational, but the 30 second return on the vehicles I’ve had is annoying and practically useless
I think with all the cameras now they don’t typically do tilt down mirrors anymore
Really. The Supra has all the parking sensors and it still tilts. Hmmmm.
Parking sensors yes-but does the Supra have the Birds Eye camera? Presume it does but just wonder. Seems our past few new cars quit offering tilt windows once the rear view and Birds Eye view cameras became standard
Ok - once more I have to hope that my wife doesn’t read this…
My truck was the first vehicle that had the birds eye view; she once asked me why the picture didn’t show the wood that we just bought in the bed!
I successfully (albeit narrowly) held back the laugh…
That’s probably why. I suspect that is the break point of tilts vs Birds Eye view
The Blazer has it all, sensors, Birds Eye, tilt (while virtually pointless with 20-30 second timer) and a digital center rear view. But when it’s active I do find a good amount of use in the tilt
