Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
This is why I'm hoping for more à la carte pricing and less package pricing for options. There's no reason to force packages on people with the manufacturing tech that's currently in place unless the individual options can't physically go together. I really want a ventilated bench seat up front, but I realize that likely won't happen.
That would be nice. But your passenger(s) would need the same desired temp so someone’s caboose will never be comfortable. They should make the bench seat like a posterpedic mattress with temps and inclining and the bells and whistles

If the base costs $60 isn’t it in the realm of possibility that they come with vented seats? I would imagine there are other vehicles in that price range that come with that feature.
Guessing it will be a package price as for cold/warm weather package with seats, steering wheel and a neck breather vent at headrest might be nice. Unless it blew air in a creepy huffing pattern-then it would just be goosebumps 24/7.
I like Al a cart but a weather package I can tolerate because I’d probably want them all anyway. But you know, they add a chilled center console and a rear hitch boot scraper and then I’ll be annoyed.

I can't imagine a "breathing down your neck" feature would be very popular?

Well.

Unless it was a halloween update. And one you could turn on for a different seat without them knowing. Then maybe it would be very popular, to prank your significant other/children/co-worker with creepy breathing sounds (via the headrest speakers???) and feelings.

Rivian had Back to the Future and Knight Rider for Halloween one year. We have to have something.

Part of me agrees but it can’t be that kind of stuff-they need to have their own little niche/easter eggs but I don’t know what. I’ve thought of this a lot-sadly but haven’t figured it out yet. One thought I had was outside or inside having LED’s that slow pulse in red and a heart beat sound broadcasts or “shick, shick shick -aahh, aahh, aahh! As people approach when parked and in space. Something unique that takes advantage of a Sentry/Security mode

I would say, with current EV battery tech, heated seats and wheel is a must at a "base level" You can get better winter range by useing them as your main warmth and less havc. This is what i would do at Amazon in the Rivians and I was just about the only one to ever finish my route with range to spare

I've moved from the They're-Giving-It-A-Go camp to Concerned Hopium camp. Discount the spitballing of the Demuros all you want but the distaste for pumping capital into new EVs and shortage of demand are real and spectacular concerns...

I totally get it. I have the same worries myself. I think I would be more worried if they were building let’s say a V6 and an EV. The EREV and EV are much more similar. Deep breath. I know I say faith and patience all the time, but I’m adding something else. Confidence. I have confidence in SM.
