Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
I’m still curios. The EV is way ahead in development and complexity is added with EREV. So do you slow start with EV to get them out in public then go hard core with EREV or do you risk delaying start and losing a lot of buyers OR do you push EREV too quickly, release then start having recalls. To me the logic is ramp up with the BEV to get production line rolling then convert as quickly as possible and make 95% of production EREV and trickle in a batch of BEV’s once a month or so to keep everyone happy. I prefer BEV, I can live with EREV but if they suddenly delay everything by 6-9 months will I wait around on an EREV when I really wanted the BEV anyways and theoretically they could be producing them sooner. Get whatever is ready out the door first so you have cash rolling in. That’s business 101.
Seeing a Scout on the road is marketing so put out what you can ASAP then adjust production as soon as EREV is ready to go.
Broken Record here—- they will probably produce in proportion to paid orders.

The problem with any "luxury" car manufacturer is they want to add in a bunch of fluff at an exhorbanent price. No thanks! I really like what Scout is doing here and I think they are on the right track.
There is some context to that comment. Of course we like what Scout is doing. But there is a high likelihood of Audi sharing some of Scout’s technology for an Audi G Wagen competitor.

And one other thing. For whatever reason we all assume they are going to be delayed. There’s nothing that says they can’t be ahead of schedule.
I’ve been convinced they are ahead of schedule since day one. I don’t believe in delays

Launch already delayed once from 2026 to 2027 -

The Scout brand will begin production in 2026, with an electric pickup truck and SUV duo.”

“The brand is currently aiming to begin production of its first models by the end of 2026.”

I suspect the EREV-first switch had already happened before 2024 reveal, when 2027 launch was announced. Auto firms need long lead times and don’t do real-time decision announcements.

Hey! We didn’t say it was dead. We said it wasn’t in our best interest, but now look at who has probably the best EV ever made.
I guess management misread the room. My hunch is Europeans still hate Musk and don’t want China taking over so they all want a hometown favorite. I’m happy for BMW. I personally like the new look less than the Bangle era of BMW but we all have different tastes-though we all love the Scouts so guess we know what our favorites are 😀

I sadly have a gut feeling the BEV (Electrall 😊) won’t be available until 2029.

Well we can’t let China run everything. I think iX3 is coming to the US summer of 26’ but if it’s sold out we might not get it till later. A car being sold out is unheard of now days.

We aren’t putting negativity out into the universe @LastDayScout all we know right now is they are going to make a BEV and an EREV something is going first. What that something is we have no idea.
I’m not being negative, I’m being realistic. The factory still isn’t done. When it is done they will have to build a few to work the kinks out before they build the production intent models. That’s going to very likely creep well into 2027. They are now all but straight up saying Harvester first. So those will likely be 2028 models. Scout does intend to make money and if they can just make Harvester for an extended period of time that has to make sense to them for making the most money the fastest possible way. So, I say again, we might see the Electrall in 2029.

If you have a priced D.O.R.A and V.O.C for an EV they are going to build it. I can't imagine them deciding to only build EREV the first year. I sure hope they don't.
