How would you build your Scout?

  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.
Oh my Lord - you are truly a horrible human being. I had no idea Jeep owners were so debauched. But I know you’re from IL and can’t help yourself.

No - they did it in a glacier white with a ton of carbon fiber doo dads - like Mansory does on all their refits. Watch this - you HAVE to see the interior lighting features. Then come back and see if you can say “who am I to judge” without just a TINY little gag reflex.

A little help from Google Gemini -
The Terra on 37’s in silver with the Harvester package and roof rack
@Jamie@ScoutMotors - I’ll take one of these please!

I wasn’t going to reply, but no one has ever called me a “truly horrible human being” even if they are trying to make a joke, which I’m not sure this was.

First of all, I never said I was from Illinois. Yes I live here. Not from here. However, I love my adopted state. There’s nothing wrong with people from Illinois.

Second, there’s a lot of Jeep owners on here and I would bet a lot of people will be trading in their Wranglers for Scouts. No need to insult Wrangler owners on this forum.

Third, watched the video. I love it. If I won the lottery I could see that being in my garage with the glass wall so I could sit in my living room and stare at it in all its glory along with my Scout and an M5 and an Audi RS6 Avante, and a Lotus Elise and a vintage Scout and Land Rover, etc, etc.

I always welcome people to the forum and I welcomed you, but I don’t appreciate being spoken to this way.

Let’s try and start over.

Welcome to the forum. Everyone is great here. Have a nice day.

Bit harsh don’t you think?

The language here—in multiple posts, not just this one—is really uncalled for.
100% agree. It’s one thing to disagree. It’s one thing to debate but to come on here and insult anyone-let alone a member who’s heavily engaged and friendly to everyone is way out of bounds. Good luck getting any report from members on here with comments like this.

I read it as ribbing, but unfortunately so much gets lost in text with no facial, body, or intonation cues.
I’m sure we all did but not on day 1-2? I poke at @cyure all the time in jest but I’ve also DM’d with here on here on discussions about PBY, etc.. and we have similar personalities and we can do that, but take the time to come in a bit softer before you insult people-was just done in bad taste. I suspect @cyure will not engage them much now but at least she gave an olive branch to start over

Yep, no argument from me there. Being able to rib each other usually takes time of getting to know each other.

I have found that silver cleans up easy, and hides scratches better than most colors. You just have to accessorize silver correctly. A little touch of black goes a long way on silver.
Agreed. My husbands car the color name is Tungsten. So color of metal/silver. Love it but that’s enough silver in the house for me.

That’s a good looking car. One of those I like but at 6’8” could never stuff myself into.

Other than the Dodge Challenger we had for a while, I’ve never found a sports car/muscle car I could fit in comfortably. I just might be destined to be a truck/large suv guy.
