From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.
Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

I was just reading about the Coachmen RVEX, which is based on the GM Brightdrop van. They’re targeting 270 miles range on a 174 kWh motive battery with a 1000 watt solar system and a 48 kWh house battery. With a 48 kWh house battery, one could easily use the house battery to add a good 24+ kWh (14%) to the motive battery overnight while boondocking. I can imagine how readily they switched platforms from RAM to Jeep. The 4xe was ready for an EREV transition: shrinking of the engine, growth of the battery, and use of the Wagoneer S motors.
But
I'll believe it's available when I see one on the streets. Stellantis has been pulling out of the musk playbook of making promises without any basis in reality. If they pull it off then that's great.

We have always known that Stellantis would likely be first to market with EREV. I figured it would be the pickup truck first, but let's see when it actually comes to market.
I'm not so sure about Jeep's claim. I watched this. Wasn’t real impressed with this guy but maybe it’s just me. I don’t think I’m his demographic but was good to hear an opinion that just crapped on them being EV because when he started I was sure that was where it was headed. I also think his backpack is the one that showed up in some of the posted pics.
I'm not a fan of Wagoneer and let's be honest, "first to market" for that car actually means first to the rental car fleets.
