  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

I just had a thought about this ‘20K less than the competitor’ statement. The thing that popped into my mind immediately was, todays prices. In truth competitor pricing in 2 to 2-1/2 years could be anything. So, $20K less than what? I’m not trying to be negative, just voicing a new (to me) perspective.

@cyure I prefer to follow your advice of faith and patience. It it happens for me, great. If not, that’s ok too. I consider it to be Devine direction for my life.
We are just going to keep thinking positive thoughts!!! Faith and patience!!

Right now, the mix in the brand's 130,000 confirmed reservations conforms to Scout's initial expectations. "Roughly, we're about 70 percent SUV, 30 percent truck," Keogh explained. The powertrain selection is roughly equivalent. "Somewhere around 70 percent for the range extender and 30 percent for battery electric."

Good article

I ordered the Traveler "Harvester" hybrid. Although I've always been a loyal IH Harvester and Scout fan, my concern is "first year" problems. With only 16 locations nation-wide, what is Scout's plan to handle unexpected problems?

Welcome to the club!

There are tons of great threads so if anything comes to mind be sure to use the search feature. We have a few official insiders that usually confirm (or deny) what they can without violating their NDAs. Be sure to follow @Jamie@ScoutMotors and @CP1@scoutmotors. They post some amazing photos and useful information when they have time.

This is the most comprehensive article we have found that shows how Scout plans to handle service, and gives a very detailed look at what that looks like.

That’s one of those things that if we go first, so to speak, we have to be ready for potentially some issues. If I get the opportunity I’m going for it but I understand there may be some growing pains. We have multiple vehicles and I’ll just deal with it if there is an issue.

I ordered the Traveler + Harvester but I might switch back to the EV Traveler once it's time to actually pull the trigger. I'm currently driving a Rivian (which is awesome btw) but I'm looking forward to all of the features the Scout brings.

Welcome to the community! The beauty of our reservation is it’s not an order yet. We dont get locked in until we actually place our order so you can change your mind. I am in the same boat. Reserved a Traveler Harvester but with all I’m learning on this forum I’m 99% sure I’m switching to the BEV. A couple great follows are @Jamie@ScoutMotors and @CP1@scoutmotors. They keep us updated from the manufacturer side. Have fun and welcome again!
